Warning Direct gets your money provides you a card but purchases keep being declined. direct express blames this on master card here I sit with money available and need to make purchases and unable to do so Social Security needs to find a different company to handle payable benefits better I've tried to transfer funds to other institutions and have been unable to do so. You would think a company like Direct Express who receives most likely millions a month from Social Security could provide better service and options. Better off just to get a check in the mail so far this service has been useless and frustrating.

We really need to get a class action lawsuit on for direct express. Im about to be homeless. I am a victim too. How can they just take your money! I DESPERATELY NEED HELP! They've taken my moms money. You're on hold for hours. They will hang up on u purposely after holding for hrs. They need to be held accountable. I will die trying to get them held accountable. Im calling attorney General office. Secretary of state! Something has and must happen Today!

I've been trying since August 2024 to get to my SSI funds. I've sent the documents 4 times with only automated replies twice, and no emails as to results of submissions. I've called numerous times. 1) was told shouldn't have included a bank statement with the bank letter, submit again 2) no reason, submit again, 3) because address showed ending in St, but drivers license shows Dr (35 yrs same address, changes along the way. They changed the address on file on their end, said submit again or go to the bank to use the card to withdraw the funds, did that, bank says they don't do that, 4) was told they couldn't process because the bank account applied was a joint account and must be an individual account only held only by the SSI recipient. I'll report back with results of having gone to the bank to set up a single person account and submitting everything for the 5th time.

Wait time is absurd. The employees are very very rude been trying to get my card unlocked for 3 months and still not fixed.I would not recommend direct express to any one.

Representative Mathew is so rude and has no common sense. I ask the simplest question on 🌎 and that person went WW3 on my ass. 🤣 I MUST SAY SINCE COVID PEOPLE ARE SO MESSY NO COMPASSION KINDNESS RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW PEOPLE HAVE NO TYPE OF COMMON SENSE THESE DAYS..CHILEEEEEE IM DONE!!!!

A friend has a cracked card. He's been getting the run around getting a replacement card, Having 19 years banking experience I called and asked the representative a question. It was: if he goes to a bank, opens an account, can that bank call Direct Express to collect his funds. A procedural question, not asking any financial privacy questions. The rep would not help. She was worthless.
