This is my 4 th Hale door The first 3 are in my kennels I board for friends and run a rescue. SO it get allot of use They are durable and very well insulated. I am in the Pocono Mountains and there is no draft thru them. I have taught every dog to use them within minutes with treats. I recently bought a cat door and it was easily installed yesterday Oscar is learning to use it. Cats are not dogs :)))) But he will learn soon too.

I've always purchased a Hale. Best product on the market as far as quality. Even when the wind is howling, the heavy silicon doors stay in place. When I've had to replace one of the doors (extra large visiting dog tore it at the hinge), customer service got the right size to me in just a couple of days.

After owning a couple of the competitor's dog doors, I spend the extra money for a Hale dog door, and have been very impressed with both the quality and the function of the door. I live in Colorado, so wanted the extra weather "protection" of the 2-flap door. No problems for the dogs, and the door has been working flawlessly over the past 5 years. Then I made a move into a new house (without a dog door) and needed a dog door. I called Hale to place my order, and of course, I was in a hurry to get the door. Man, did Hale respond to my need. I had my 2-flap, custom order dog door the next day (extra shipping was on me, but that was expected). Anymore, it seems like we have to settle for one or the other (customer service or a great product) to get what we want/need, but in Hale's case, I got both. If you are looking for a great dog door and a great company to work with, then stop looking around and start ordering, you won't be disappointed.

I requested a custom door flap with a different magnet configuration. They were very accommodating. Created and delivered in very short time. Highly recommend.

We are the owners of 4 wonderful dogs. However, one of our dogs has become much older and somewhat larger. She also has arthritis. She had become very hesitant to use the dog door she had been using. We decided to shop around and see if we could find a door that would be large enough for her to get through without it touching her sore hips. After much searching I came upon Hale Dog doors. I was impressed with all the different sizes and the security lock door. I also had another issue that the security door needed to be a side insert and not the top loading like most all of the other doors I had found. I finally made my choice and ordered my door online using their easy to navigate website. While I was there, I did have one question and called their toll free number. A very helpful woman answered my call and helped me with my question. I must say we are all pleased with the Hale dog door.
