EyeglassdirectReviews of eyeglassdirect.com

Offering reading glasses made with cr39 plastic was attractive. Price was mediocre. Website was very difficult to use, and web pages are presented in a non-logical order. If I ordered glasses in the past, and just wanted to repeat a previous order for the same item(s); there appears no way to do this.

The prescription was wrong and I'm not able to wear the glasses. I got severe headaches when I tried to use them and took them to my doctor who confirmed the prescription was not correct. UPDATE: After posting this review, I got an immediate call from the company to remedy the issue. I will update again, as the situation changes. UPDATE: This company remade the lens and I received the glasses back today. I appreciate their prompt response to my issue and am glad it has all been resolved. As a note: I never give a 5 star review, because I believe there is always room for improvement. So consider this 4 star review a very good one, since it is as high as I go!

Following cataract surgery, I needed new lenses for reading and correction for astigmatism. I can get by using plain reading glasses, but they are not as good as my prescription lenses. I have several frames I still like, including a frame with magnetic clip-on sunglasses. Eye Glass Direct offered reasonably priced lenses installed in my frames. I used the service twice, filling out the required information on their web site, and mailing the frames to them. Status information is provided via email upon receipt, processing, and return mail. I will be using them again for another frame.

Smooth, simple process! All you need to do is plan ahead. I have already recommended this company to friends and family.

I was amazed at the ease of ordering and the accuracy of the glasses. I used my old frames and was a little concerned with how they would turn out. I will use Eyeglassdirect for my future eye glass needs.
