One of the lenses wasn't ground to fit the frame snugly so the screw kept popping out; I put in a longer screw to keep the lens in place but the end of the screw sticks out now a bit. Good value for the service, though.

Ordered glasses on sept 23,2024 and as of oct 9 had heard nothing. Called and was told something must have happened and only one pair was available and second pair was somewhere, by Oct 11I would be contacted. I need the glasses for a long trip never week . Oh I had been a customer for over 6 years. NEW INFORMATION -one pair of glasses are being shipped overnight to support my needs for my trip. When the company understood my problem they worked to fix it.

The lenses are great, but the fit is terrible. I finally had to use a lanyard to keep them from falling off of my face. Never had that problem with previous pairs.

I have used eyeglasses direct for years. Last order, the nosepad fell off. This isn't the first time. Fortunately, replacement pads from nosepad.com work well. Eyeglasses direct gets inexpensive eyeglasses to me reliably. I wish the nosepads were better.

I ordered progressive lenses, which are great. The website was pretty good though I had to go to another site to find a good way of estimating pupil distance. Prices were competitive with other online sources. This is my second order from EGD -- in both cases the turnaround -- over two weeks -- was longer than I expected. Maybe it's the standard with sent-in frames but it seemed long.

If you go in person, the young lady is super, the boss, not consumer friendly. Maybe because I just needed lenses put in a new frame, and the only ones suitable were not higher priced.
