I used them through government insurance in the past and stopped due to how expensive they are compared to regular pharmacies. I live overseas now and had to use them again due to lack of availability and it's been a nightmare. Prescription was sent in a week ago, and they called me today for a $60 copay on a script I normally pay about $10 for. I need it and don't have another option so I suck it up and pay. They call me 2 hours later to say my script is canceled because the order is too soon? I literally haven't filled with them or picked up my script that was issued a week ago. They need to get it together. Customer service is nice but the company is trash.

The absolute worst PBM company you can deal with. They told us an injectable rx( refill) was sent. They then two weeks later say ‘no it wasn’t sent because an NEW YEAR reauthorization” is needed. They claimed they tried to contact the Dr 4 times. The Dr said no they did not and he certainly would have reauthorized if asked. We suggested we give ES the correct phone number. ES said they dont take #s from customers and must go by their files. I called again, and spoke with Whitney and got her supervisor Lashawn. Lashawn said she would call. She never did. We called again and asked for Lashawn, and were told we can not speak with a given name.(someone who was filled in on the situation.) and that there was NO RECORD of the concern. We then today get a automated message saying shipped. We called to ask what is going on, as we arranged a different method to get it before leaving on vacation. We we got through we were told OH NO it has NOT BE SHIPPED< as it needs reauthorization. (Told twice shipped when not) I went to Pharmacy School and understand that this a roll model of “improper actions “from a company involved with peoples health.

The Ozempic incompetency is inconceivable. While I recognize that supplier constraints cannot be helped I found literally everything Express Scripts has control over has made it impossible to fill the script with them. First it takes over a week for an initial order to be filled (Rep whined "we have thousands to register"? Your system is broken if it can't handle the volume! Fix it!) even if you go on their website and ask to fill one from your regular pharmacy. Then when I called them on Monday advising that I was out and my weekly dose would be on Thursday they assured me it would be marked urgent and make it. Wednesday I was on the phone with them with a delivery date of Saturday and their Pharmacist argued that was "impossible as they always do next day and it should be Friday" - well it came on Saturday. 48 hours late. The following month I ditched ES for my local and was told that ES had filled it. What actually happened was the DAY BEFORE my regular dose they tagged the order as theirs and "started to process". There is no common sense urgency for when someone is out of a medication for them to get it to you on time!?! I was set to arrive the following Tuesday- or FIVE FULL DAYS past regular dosage? I've come to the realization that they shipped the first batch late so sending the next batch late fit their schedule. They are argumentative with clients and ponderously slow. This company ruins the pharmacy experience of having a relationship with someone who actually cares about the client.

I received an Express Script letter in the mail, stating the convenience of Express Scripts home delivery. I called to set up the home delivery and the representative stated, "since I've been going to the pharmacy, I need to continue to go there". All you can do is SYH. What customer service.

I hope other employers read reviews from this site because they would benefit by knowing that Express Scripts do not provide good customer service. My employer is switching out to another vendor next year. Horrible customer service. They would hang up on you if they are not able to assist. You would have call back and go through the horrible experience of getting back in the loop. Yesterday, it took me three attempts to fill a prescription. The last call lasted over an hour because I was transferred from one representative to another. I was finally told that I would receive my prescription in 5-7 days. I'm not at all sure if this will get filled by the year's end. I get to select a new PBM next year and I will not be choosing Express Scripts for my prescriptions

Sent me the wrong medicine and charged me $68. No prescription and not a medicine I take. I called and went the call back # route. After 30 min the representative called and took the relevant information. After that I waited on hold for more than 30 min. Next turned to the email route. A response within less than 72 hrs is advertised but that never happened. On Monday I will have my bank stop payment on the credit card charge and begin moving to a local pharmacy. In conclusion Express Scripts works until there's a hiccup. Once there's a glitch recovery is exasperating at best.

If I could give no stars, I would. This is my second time using ES. Years ago, they were the mail-order company for my work insurance. They are again at my new job. I hoped they had improved. They are worse. In the last two days, I have spent three+ hours on the phone with seven different CSRs to ensure my order was correct. They call and leave robo messages insisting you call only to disconnect you when you do, or they send emails saying your order has a problem insisting you call, and when you do, they mess it up again or in a new way. I just got off the phone ten minutes ago, thinking I had nailed it, and immediately got an email indicating another error. They also do not allow you to order medications from your account on the website that are on file, you have to call them. This is the worst system I have ever dealt with. Unbelievable and unacceptable. They should be out of business.

Spent about 8 hours on 8 different phone calls trying to correct an issue on their end. Got a different story about what the problem was on every single call. My doctor's office and the local pharmacy have made calls several times to try and resolve from their side. Issue was never resolved and I have been without my medication for 5 weeks now. I wish this was an isolated case, but sadly this has been the typical level of service that I have recieved from them. Signed up with a new insurance company for next year. Do not sign up for any insurance plan that uses Express Scripts as a provider.
