I have mild osteoarthritis in my left thumb (CMC) joint. That makes it painful to open jars, take down/up pants with an elastic waist (for a woman that happens multiple times a day) and grip anything. My ortho doc recommended a CMC thumb brace. Of course I researched them (I’m a nerd) and found the Push MetaGrip at Bracelab. The ad said it could be used for sport activities, including golf. My eyes lit up with little stars like in the cartoons. I ordered one and it arrived sooner than projected. (Yea!). It helped with everyday activities like the pants thing, picking up a glass and holding a tablet. It does help opening jars, but I like getting my darling husband to do that for me ( dreamy sigh). BUT, as an avid golfer I am beyond thrilled I can wear it to play! My modifications are that I wrap a single layer of athletic tape, like what they wrap around your arm when you give blood, under it so it is not so sweaty. It is very comfortable, no blisters and no pain. Of course it took a little bit to get used to it since it is a foreign object, but it is wonderful. I can easily fit gloves over it so doing dishes (ugh) or using oven mitts, etc. is a non issue. I am very happy with this item. I highly recommend it.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with the Push MetaGrip thumb brace. We are delighted to hear that it has provided you with relief from pain and improved your daily activities, including your passion for golfing!
The insoles have definitely helped my posterior tibial tendonitis, so I am happy about that. I have 2 complaints: First, they are very flimsy toward the front. This makes it hard to insert into my shoes without the front of the insert buckling and bunching up. The problem is getting worse as the inserts are worn and switched between different shoes. Second, in some of my shoes (oddly my Hoka running shoes are the worst) the inserts emit a noticeable squeak.

Thanks for your review! I'm not sure if you are reviewing the correct company as we do not sell insoles.

The BraceLab thumb brace works pretty well to support my thumb, but it is a little too wide between my thumb and right index finger, so it is not very comfortable to wear. The black thumb and wrist brace that the doctor prescribed for me is much more comfortable and somewhat more effective, but it is not washable. (I asked the doctor about this.) I spent around $100 to get the BraceLab device because I need to be working with dirty things like planting flowers and washing my car & porch furniture. I haven’t washed clothes since I got it dirty, but will put it in a washing bag next time I wash and then air dry it. It’s definitely better than nothing.
