Legacy SunPower Corporation (Out of Business)Reviews of sunpower.com

Meleah Sellers was awesome in activating our SunPower solar system. She was punctual, activated our system in a couple of hours and communicated with us during the entire process. Thanks again!!

I am one of the SunPower Customer. I highly recommend do not use them. For last 2 years I have bein paying Pg&E bill while having 28 panels on my roof.Paid $55000 for my Solar which never works. Customer service is very bad. They will never fix the problem and keep making excuses and lying to customers. Please go with different company.

Purchased a new $37K system with a SunVault battery. It stopped reporting accurately after one month due to some system migration SunPower undertook. When it came back online the data began to mixed with my previous older SunPower system and I could no longer accurately determine what the system was reporting. Many email exchanges and requests for help were largely ignored or I was told to be "patient". 8 months later and no change. I have had to contact SunPower every few weeks for updates on whether or not I will ever be able to get the lost data. They have not responded to me unless I request. Worst experience ever. I would like them to come remove the whole system so I can start over with another brand. It may finally be working correctly this week but I don't know to trust it yet. They offered me a $32 dollar rebate. Looking into legal options that get around the binding arbitration clause. Response to response: just so were clear nothing in SunPower's response to my requests has suggested that my business was in any way valued. Action reveals if it is valued. Update: SunPower asked for contact info. I provided my phone number. No one ever called.

Ryan Kepp came out to activate my solar panels and was fantastic. He was on time and got the job done quickly. He was friendly and answered any questions I had. Overall great experience

We signed the contract with SunPower on March 15, 2022. In the email from Mr. Hansen (SunPower's salesperson), he clearly wrote: ============= Added peace of mind: No surprise costs. If the main service electrical panel needs to be modified, repaired or upgraded, there is no additional cost. ================ To make things clear, we had installed a new electric panel in order to install solar panels. Both Mr. Hansen and the site engineers inspected the panel (NOTE:at that time, we did not get the electric panel's permit yet). None of them told us that the panel is not compatible. However after we found out that the monitoring system did not work, the SunPower company told us our electric panel is incompatible. How your people inspect the site??? Why you issued the permit???

Julian sierra was here today activating my solar. By far the best customer service I have gotten in a while. Julian was in and out taking care of everything setting me up with solar. Great conversation and great work ethics. Very satisfied with the service from Julian.

Ryan Kepp came to activate my solar and he was nothing but great. There was frustration with the approval and application process to the utility company but Ryan's professionalism and prompt activation helped to alleviate the frustration.

I currently have three problems with SunPower. The first is that they haven't been able to install a part that lets me monitor the systems production. It has been months and they have been absolutely useless in helping to get this fixed. It's been at least 6 months since I've been able to see if the system is working. The second problem I have is that I need to put a new roof on my house. This requires that the panels be temporarily removed. Their subcontractor High Noon Solar was difficult to contact but eventually informed me that they could do this. They were supposed to get back to me at the beginning of March and have failed to do so. Now I have roofers waiting and I may be out of a $6000 deposit. The third is the customer service. I have been hung up on multiple times and continually lied to about when people will get back to me. The call center is a joke and it took me 3 calls and over an hour of talking to the call center employees before I was transferred to anyone who would even pretend to help me. They still haven't scheduled a time for me to get the panels removed. I highly recommend avoiding SunPower and their partners.
