Legacy SunPower Corporation (Out of Business)Reviews of sunpower.com

Our technician Warren Grennan is knowledgeable and walked through the PVS system setup in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

I had a great experience with Sun Power today, especially with our technician Warren who came to activate our system. When I called Sun Power because the technician hadn’t come yet, they answered immediately and contacted Warren. The technician had been delayed at a previous call and traffic but Warren called quickly and gave me an update. Once he got here he not only completed the job quickly, he assisted me in getting the app set up and even took a few minutes to play baseball and Monster trucks with my son. He went above and beyond and we were his last call after a very long day!

It took 5 months to resolve my issue with SunPower and the inverter that didn't work. HOWEVER I GIVE MY KUDOS TO TRUSTPILOT. After numerous attempts to contact SunPower I wrote a scathing review (see below) and by golly I got a response in 2 days from Kim Lester who did everything he could to resolve my issue. I only give 4 stars because it still took a long time. But Kim arranged to get some of the $$$ I lost for not having solar. Thank you. THANK YOU TRUSTPILOT FOR YOUR HELP! original review: No response after numerous attempts My inverter has been approved by SunPower to be replaced under warranty. It has been well over a month since SunPower agreed to replace it. Like other reviewers I have waited on the phone no less than five times each for over an hour. One time they told me I could only pay for service with a DEBIT card. I was shocked! Calls to the supposed installer have never been answered or returned. We have been without solar power since MAY. Like other reviewers I am dismayed that a company could have such terrible service. If someone reading this would like to get a more positive review my account is #02910190

I paid 29 panels of the SunPower solar with the installation for almost $46k. The installation was done about almost 5 months ago and so far I am happy with it. The only problem I have is that my sale rep didn’t want to give me the rebate code to claim my $1k rebate even I emailed, called and left him so many messages. When he presented the SunPower product to me, he said I would receive my rebate 6 weeks after the installation is finished. I called SunPower customer services and was told that If I don’t have the rebate code from my sale rep, they cannot do anything to help me. I sent a certified mail to SunPower headquarters in San Jose to explain to them my problem. They received it but they didn’t get back to me either. Please advise me what I should do now?

The install was very professional, but the installers left behind scraps of conduant pipes and wire around the property. It's still to early to tell how the system is performing. I never was able to meet sales person in person. Was kinda awkward.

So I do go about the registration and what was the minimum amount to deposit..

I bought eight 440 watt panels that came with Enphase 7 micro inverters. The micro inverters were rated at 384 watts. That means my 440 watt panels were restricted to a output of 384 watts. I paid extra for the 440 watt panels and my system was advertised to supply 3.5 KW. The maximum output of my 3.5 KW system will never be greater than 3.07 KW. I calculated my KW requirement to be at 3.5 KW. Now I am at 13 percent under my requirement. Company representative had no answer to my system under performing

Excellent product and excellent installation! Communication was lacking. I give the product and installation a thumbs up and communication a thumbs down.
