Kit arrived quickly. Instructions and video were easy to follow. Final product fits great and are very sturdy retainers, similar to the ones I received from the orthodontist. The whitening kit works great as well.

The process was simply and easy. However the retainer tops were loose and the bottoms did not fit to the point where if I closed my mouth the retainers would pop back up. I reached out to customer service and they told me to cut or shave off the back ends of the retainer. Had to end up cutting off two molars worth of plastic and it still only kind of fits, still not secure. I was told I had to buy another mold to re-do the fit which I think would be pointless if my original “good” molds weren’t able to produce retainers that fit well. Plus, I didn’t want to spend another $100+ on top of what I already spent. I was hoping they had some sort of satisfaction or fit guarantee but I guess not. Glad it works for others but I was pretty disappointed with my end product.

I ordered a a retainer for my son from Retainers Direct earlier this month. His was broken, and due to "shelter-in-place" we were unable to go to his regular orthodontist. We ordered the kit on a Sunday and received it within a couple of days. Making the impression was a bit of a challenge, but we were happy they sent enough to make two, just in case. We mailed it off and it was processed and returned within a very short time. So far, it fits well and appears sturdier than his previous one. I'm so pleased with it that I am going to order one for my daughter.

Great service overall. The mold was easy to do and send for the replacement. I did get a few email notifications that the retainer was already delivered when it was not (perhaps a USPS error) and that created confusion. I had a very unhelpful conversation with a strange customer service representative thus not a 5 star review but other than that the fit is good. Very tight fit but I'm hoping that it will loosen over time. I'd recommend to a friend just don't call them.

My permanent retainer that was put in place 25 years ago broke while I was flossing. Of course this happens during the coronavirus pandemic, and I can't get into a local orthodontist. Retainers Direct was an easy and quick alternative. I placed my order. Within a week, I had the kit for impressions, and 1 week later I had my retainer. This was a very easy process, and I received excellent commnication.
