Just bought a brand new Maytag dryer from Lowe’s. Heating element is shot. Lowe’s won’t replace.. and Maytag sends some test that took forever to show up.. and now they have the test saying it doesn’t work. Are now sending an 3rd party source to diagnose the problem. (Who keeps rescheduling) instead of replacing the dryer (literally 3 months old). Worst appliances.. worst costumer service… do not buy. Ever

We have intentionally bought Maytag or Whirlpool products because of their service and support. NEVER again. The new washer and dryer are so,so although it takes 2 hours for a load, trying to get a manual or help regarding their products is a joke. I'm so sick and tired of them trying to shove a extended warranty on me were ready to take the POS back to home depot and make them take it back. Unbelievable, what the H has happened to every company in this country in the last 5 years.

If I could go negative, I would. Bought washer on 9/1/25 and in less than 13 months had service out 4 times for the same issue (washer wouldn't fill with water) Had to wait on hold for an average of 40-50 to talk to someone...I ended up hanging up twice after waiting almost an hour on hold. It's 94 days since my last service and they will only offer an additional service up to 90 days. Today I purchased a Speed Queen. My first Maytag lasted 25 years. My last two averaged 2.5 years.

I purchased a Maytag washer, less than 2 yrs old. I also purchased a 5yr warranty. The warranty was thru Lowe's. I called to have washer repaired and a repairman was sent to my house on 9-11-2026 Repairman told me the parts would need to be ordered and parts would be in the following 14th. He would come to repair the machine on the 21st. He was a no call no show. I called today to see what's happening on their end. I was told that the parts were ordered on the 20th. The 20th was on a Sunday. Not sure if they work on sundays. Very upset with their lack of communication and lack of transparency. At this point I guess I will have to wait till they feel like working on my washer.

I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer, within two weeks the dryer door would not shut. The repairmen came to my home knowing that the dryer door would not shut but did not have the parts to repair it. The repairman implied that because the dryer was so new it would most likely be replaced. This did not happen. The I called to schedule the delivery I was told that a repairman would be scheduled to repair. DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG

I just purchased a refurbished washer a week ago. Multiple settings haven't worked since I started using it. I called customer service today. They couldn't register the product because you get a new model number when you buy a refurbished model. The model number on the machine doesn't match what is on my receipt now because the model number on the receipt is the regular number or something? Finally, I was on and off of customer service for about 2 hours just trying to set up a service appointment because of the issue above and because their "system" kept crashing. The one setting that does work washes fine, but this has been a terrible experience so far.

Maytag customer service doesn't answer and doesn't call back, waste of time.

Their website is not user-friendly at all. It would not accept my correct model number. The chatbot refused to transfer me to an agent when my question could not be answered. A phone call took about 10 minutes to get answered and of course I was transferred and waited another 10 minutes. I was then transferred to the parts dept. which never answered. I will never buy another Maytag/Whirlpool appliance.
