First eyeglass frame purchase I have made on line. They are just much to expensive at an eye glass store. So the price was right as far as I am concerned and I had a Safilo frame in the past so I was able to search for the correct frame for me. Only thing I was not happy about is the color choices on many frames, it is almost impossible to find a shiny sliver frame. When I ordered this frame it stated shiny brown and that is what I got, but I was hoping for more of a shiny gold. It's hard to buy eyeglass frames on line without trying them on, but as I said I had the frame style and number so it made it pretty easy for me, and I am sure I will be happy with the shiny brown although it's not exactly what I wanted.

This was my first time using CoolFrames and I wouldn't hesitate try them again. I purchased a second pair of frames (exactly the same model I purchased at a retail optometrist previously) and the lenses to match. Everything worked out great. The quality of the lenses and prescription is indistinguishable from my more expensive first pair of glasses. The overall cost was also much lower for both frames and lenses compared to buying at a regular optometrist. The only strange thing was that their shipping notification arrived one week AFTER I already had my glasses in hand. Not a big deal. Other details: I chose fairly basic lenses with all of the basic coatings ("CoolFrames Premium Polycarbonate Lenses with Scratch, UV, Polish and AR"). These are mid-index lenses (~1.59 index I believe), so not crazy thin, but still thinner than basic plastic lenses. This worked fine for my relatively modest prescription (about -3.00 and no astigmatism) in terms of lens thickness.
