Helpful when you needed

I paid for Care.com on November 10th, and it is now December 15th, yet I have never been able to use the app due to in-app bugs. I reached out many times via email and chat. While support staff were polite, their responses felt insincere, and I was repeatedly told to wait for updates and responses that never solved the problem. I requested a refund, as the app was completely unusable despite all the troubleshooting and updates I could do on my end. After 46 days of waiting and contacting support numerous times respectfully, I was finally told that they cannot issue a refund. This is extremely frustrating because there is nothing in their policy stating that if the app doesn’t work, I forfeit my payment. I paid for a service I was completely unable to use, and Care.com’s refusal to refund my money feels unfair and unreasonable. In short, I was effectively robbed of my payment for a platform I could never access. I am not upset about the app bugs themselves, but I am very disappointed as a paying customer that my situation was ignored. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Care.com. You are likely better off using social media or doing your own background checks to find connections than relying on a platform that may not work and could take your money without providing service. I used to advocate and tell all my friends and family about care.com but after what I went through I will direct people away from it

Shanae at Christlike Senior Care (CSC) asked me to post a review here regarding her service. CSC is just incredible. They took care of both parents in their waning days at the Blake at Miramar Beach as the Blake is not expected to do 24/7 service. CSC was there every day for mom and dad, including Thanksgiving where my dad passed and we told them go home for a day, and they didn't. Spent the whole day prepping for moveout. Can't make this stuff up. We used Visiting Angels in Punta Gorda who were great but the local Visiting Angels bailed 3 minutes, I kid you not, when mom wanted to exit her wheelchair for no good reason. CSC would never do that. Susan McKenzie who is RNP at the Blake highly recommends CSC, as does the Kuehn family. I set up a Care.com subscription to find a caregiver for my Mom. It didn't work. I was able to find a caregiver through word of mouth. I cancelled my subscription with Care.com. However, they continued to bill me for months. That's fraudulent activity. I'm owed more than $350.

No one we have ever interviewed and introduced to our children has ever worked out (ie become a nanny or a reliable babysitter) - in multiple states. But the worst part of this service is that if you forget how long a term you signed up for and they charge you to re-up it there are no refunds and no exceptions. This sounds reasonable at first, but is actually terrible customer service. When a customer contacts you in less than 24hrs to cancel a year long subscription they should honor it or at least give a partial refund. We have at least 15 years more of "care" needs and will not be trying this lousy service again (as well as telling everyone else to stay away.)

Don’t! Don’t! Ever use it They stealed my membership fee about 6 years. I tried to cancel many time. They still secretly charged my credit cards whatever how many card I replaced. Sis. Don’t even touch ur figures on them.! It is a total scam!!
