My dog enjoyed the food but developed allergies and ended up costing me a lot in vet bills

Customer service is great. My dog loves the raw meat and the freeze dried kibble. We had no problem transitioning to We Feed Raw.

Until the latest packaging changes I would have rated higher. The new packaging is flimsy and the plastic is VERY thin. The first shipment had 4 leaky (unsecured) packages, whether it was a poor seam, or a couple had actual cuts in the plastic. I've just started feeding the second shipment and almost every package has some sort of leakage issue so far. The tab, though nice to have, is very small, and once I start to pull back on it, the plastic is so thin it stretches so I have a hard time pulling it open past the next corner. The new thicker patties are difficult to defrost, so I end up having to keep 8-10 in my refrigerator, and still, they're not thawed out when I'm ready to feed them. I have to add some boiling water to the food to loosen it up. The second shipment had one box show up broken open with the contents pooching out the side. I do have a couple of pictures if you'd like me to provide those. It's a hard thumbs down on the latest packaging changes, and I do have concerns about the food being exposed and not vacuum sealed properly.

In regards to your additional concerns, we understand the thicker dimensions of the new patties may require a longer thaw time. We recommend placing the patty in the fridge 24 hours in advance but if you need to thaw a patty quickly, you can thaw it in the sink (place the package in cool water -- still sealed) or run the sealed package under cold water. If you have not done so already, can you please send any reference photos you may have regarding the quality of patties upon delivery? You can email those directly to [email protected] -- our team would appreciate the opportunity to rectify any concerns you have had regarding your recent deliveries. I was kept informed about my order. Very understanding. I would definitely keep using but chip was taken from me by dumb cancer.

In searching for the right food for my 6 year old golden, I decided to try The Farmers Dog. She is excited about her dinner now and the best part is it’s good for her. I only wish they would offer periodic discounts on boxes. It’s pricey and I could use some relief on costs.
