Only on day 3 of transitioning - dog has been having diarrhea, which can be expected changing to raw food from kibble. Having said that, she is a super picky eater and so far loves the raw food ( have only tried chicken one so far). I do wish there were other sizes of packages to = either one day’s worth of food or one meal’s worth. The packages are 16 oz each and she gets 14 oz which is annoying bc we chose this partly for the convenience. Lastly, we live in a motorhome and will not be able to get 25# per delivery as we don’t have enough room for it all, therefore we will have to opt for every two weeks delivery which costs more.

The food is good and my dogs do very well on it. I've been hating the new packaging though because they arrive squished/crooked and not flat, so stacking them in the freezer is no longer possible. I do like that it's peelable now, but during their freezing process the food must get squished because now it's just impossible to keep them stacked and organized. Also, the shipping company they use has delivered to my house twice late at night, after we have already gone to bed, even though we get an email early in the morning that day saying the food is out for delivery and should be delivered within 3-6 hours. So we end up having to get up from bed to bring in the food so it doesn't thaw out. That's not really We Feed Raw's fault, but might be worth looking into offering different delivery options.

The past two times the box has been beaten up not in good condition and the meat looked like it was just tossed inside the box. Missing how it used to be packaged more neatly. I do love the peel back packaging on the meat though.

I love the product, but unfortunately that’s the only good thing I have to say about it. I hate the online interface and shipping system. The website is limited and difficult to navigate. Things that should be simple and easy to do are not. The shipping system is less than desirable, it’s difficult to prepare for when an order will ship and when it will be delivered and as they are frozen things that you’d like to attend to quickly, it’s frustrating to have lack of control and information about delivery times. Also changes need to be made well in advance which isn’t ideal seeing as the products are expensive and you should be able to get what you want/need out of it. Their saving grace is how superior I find their food to be, if not for that I would’ve canceled by now.

We have used “we feed raw” for years. When we first started, it was great. It seems that another company may have bought them out. The customer service isn’t as good, shipping takes longer, there’s no option to just buy treats. Food quality has also gone down. Will probably switch to Stella as my dog will eat that over the we feed raw freeze dried food now.

The food and packaging has been great for my dog. The delivery schedule is very unpredictable and I’m concerned he will miss a meal because the delivery gets delayed for no reason and I never receive any updates. I only receive the update when out for delivery which is consistently between 0400 and 0600, however the delivery times vary between 1430 and this latest delivery-unknown as it still has not arrived and it’s after 2000. Better tracking updates would be beneficial as people count on the timing for their pet to have food to eat. If the food does not get delivered tonight, my dog will Not have food for tomorrow as well as now the food could potentially be spoiled because of the shipping and frozen requirement.

While the food itself seems to be of very high quality and made with healthy ingredients and I love how they are able to use pressure to kill any pathogens that might be in the raw food, the whole business of subscriptions is ridiculous and actually getting to be stressful. My dog has a lot of allergies and I am not sure what she is allergic to. I've been trying for years to figure it out and I think I figured out a few things, but you never know when she'll become allergic to something new. Since she is now 13 I wanted to get her on the healthiest diet I could find and We Feed Raw fit the bill. So I set up an account for my dog and ordered the duck formula which also has turkey and I wasn't sure if she'd be allergic to either of those since I think she is allergic to chicken. All the other formulas either had beef or chicken. (beef makes my dog sick) There are no single-protein choices that are chicken- or beef-free. That was the first problem. Next is the cost. It's expensive. I get that it's a high quality food that is not easy to prepare and ship and package and whatnot. I get it. But, the bottom line is that it is expensive. That was the second problem. Next is the ordering and subscription process. It's extremely restrictive and inflexible. When I first started feeding WFR food to my dog she started getting very gassy and also very itchy. Extremely itchy. So I stopped feeding it to her. The gas stopped quickly but the itching took a while. She gets itchy from time to time and I assume it's from seasonal pollen allergies. I couldn't figure out if it was from the food or something environmental. So I had to keep postponing the shipping dates for the subscription because the only other option is to cancel the subscription which I didn't want to do. That is the 3rd problem. You can't put a subscription on pause like they say you can. All you can do is remember to keep rescheduling the shipping dates. It's really a pain. I needed more time to figure out if she was allergic to the food so I ended up canceling the subscription. After a while, a month or so, my dog finally stopped itching and I tested the food out on her again. She didn't get gassy or itchy. So I started feeding it to her again. She was doing well so I started a new subscription and placed an order. Then a few days before the order was scheduled to ship she starts throwing up. Oh jeez. So I go online to try to pause the subscription and again see there is no way to do that. I texted the customer support number and have not gotten a response yet. It's down to the wire now. Their website states that you must make any changes to the order by Thursday night before the order ships because they ship only on Fridays. OK, well, no one has gotten back to me about pausing the order so I was forced to start that ridiculous rescheduling of the shipping dates again. I can't risk getting stuck with a bunch of food that will make my dog sick and I won't be able to return it. This is, what, I lost track, is it the fourth problem? There is no way to contact someone immediately. They don't have a customer service phone number. And there is no option for customers to order food whenever they need it and how ever much they need. That is the really difficult part. There is no way to anticipate how much food I will need and I never know when something will happen that will necessitate needing more or less food. There could be a power outage or my freezer/fridge could die and I could lose all my food in my freezer. I've had that happen before. We Feed Raw should have food available to be ordered at any time and in any amount, large or small, that the customer wants. The whole subscription format is way too restrictive. I've never had a subscription for food before for any reason so the entire concept is just crazy to me. It's just food. So...I'm still hoping this will work out some how because I'm still hoping that this food will help my dog. But only time will tell. It's been pretty frustrating so far. UPDATE: This is my response to WFR's reply below: Please provide a phone number for customers to call and talk to someone in real time. I have looked and looked on your website and I don't see a number to call anywhere. Emailing and texting takes days. I just tried to log in to my account and it's no longer accepting my username and password. I can't get to the chat function to see if that is even working. I'm pretty much done. I will start looking at other raw pet food companies.

I like that he’s eating. I have to put additional toppings(chicken, turkey, duck cut up jerky treats) to get him to eat all of it. Intestinal issues are still ongoing from time to time(loose runny stools). He likes the food semi-frozen. I have to thaw the bricks to a point where I can cut them up into small pieces(1/2”-1” cubes) and then refreeze. At some point in the future perhaps your company could offer the food cut up in a similar manner. The quality of the product is great. The packaging is secure and sound. The delivery process and preservative technique are top notch. Customer service has responded quickly and effectively to my requests. Good company, good products, good service. I would recommend them to those that are interested.
