No matter how many times I wash the Trot slow feeder the interior stainless steel remains slimy (when wet.) Hot water, warm water, with soap and a wash cloth, doesn’t matter what I do it remains slimy. Makes me nervous to let our dog eat out of it, because stainless steel items we’ve used over the years didn’t act like this. I emailed Trot about the issue but never heard back. :\ Ended up ordering a different slow feeder from another company. So disappointed.

Well made, looks like it was advertised, bowls stay in place, dogs eat slower which is great and almost no spillage. Very happy with our purchase.

Not sure if we got the right size. We were recommended to get the medium sized set. We haven’t gotten our puppy yet and we love the bowls, mat & stand - we’re just not sure if the medium is too big for a mini Aussie Shepherd?

Hi Scott! Thank you for being a Trot Pets customer! The medium may be slightly on the larger size for a mini Aussie Shepard and the amount that you are feeding him/her (especially as a puppy), but because adult mini Aussie's are typically 20-40 pounds, a small or medium bowl would accommodate your pet. If further assistance is needed, please do not hesitate to reach out!
This is my second set. I bought the first one very hesitantly after the first company went other. I bought a second set to be able to throw one in the dishwasher and still have water available. They are the perfect height for Trixie and she is unable to move the bowl around when eating. She sometimes moves the whole stand but the bowl is fitted on the stand so it doesn’t come off. It has helped tremendously when she gulps water and limits the amount of time she ends up coughing. Great item. A must have.

The quality of the product is fantastic. The slow feeder does require a puppy time to get use to. Feeding takes 10 min toes verses a blink of an eye for our new lab.
