I Think Sun Power is Very Good . I Would Like A follow Up on My System Though .

So disappointing. SunPower make great panels, I expected their installation service to be superior. The worst communication of any organization I have ever dealt with. All of the people that came to my house from SunPower were very nice. However, they were also poorly trained. First off, I went with SunPower (foolishly on my part) to add additional panels to my existing SunPower array. One of my existing panels was broken and a small stretch of conduit was completely disintegrated. I had tried for TWO years to get the issues resolved. They were unresponsive, or, deflecting in there willingness to fix my problem I figured it must be a Covid issue that was causing their disfunction. So when I decided to order more panels I got assurances from the SunPower sales rep that my existing problems would be resolved with my new order. Absolutely not true. Once I ordered from her, I never received any followup. Even when I would email her for help. But the project coordinator said it would be dealt with. After several months of no installation of my new panels I called to see what the issue was. I was told the panels I ordered were not available and would not be available for at least another 4 months. I settled for a slight downgrade in panels to get the installation sooner. Was told the installation team would also document my existing issue. They did document it. The new installation did not go as expected. The next SunPower technician that came out to oversee a local inspection said the install would not pass inspection. The breakers had to be rewired and properly grounded. They then sent out a great electrician who made the changes.(although the breakers are still not as be per the drawings because he did not have a 50 amp breaker. When I asked repeatedly ( both by email and of anyone on-site) where my replacement panel was, I was just put off. There was never any followup by SunPower technicians. The project coordinator said over and over an RMA needed to be cut to replace the panel. She sent email after email to the people who supposedly should be taking care of this, but never received a reply. Now 6 months out and still no RMA, no followup. My emails never returned. Phone calls never returned. No one person in SunPower sees a project to completion. Issues are just passed from one person to another to another. No one could get my SunPower mobile app to work with both array of panels. On-site technicians could not help because they were not trained. I never did get a local inspection or a PGE on-site inspection. The best solar panels in the industry and the customers who pay a premium price for them deserve better. Poor process management, poor training, poor communication. Pure frustration.

Signed papers about 2 weeks ago. Since then haven’t heard anything from sunpower. I email my main point of contact does not message back. Last thing they said is that I will hear from them soon to schedule a site survey. Liars. The person who sold me the solar is a liar. He told me installation should start in a month time. I had another company who kept calling because they could do it in 3 weeks time I should have went with them.

Sunpower customer service is the worst. I’m having to find an attorney to get out of the contract since these guys refuse to return calls. They say there is a shortage of panels and that is why they can’t complete my system. Im lucky to get an email from them. They tell me someone will call me. Still no phone call. Again the worst nightmare of my life working with these guys. They keep you on hold for over an hour. Always saying that there supervisor is in a meeting. And that they will call back in 15 minutes. They never have returned a call back yet. I needed to have my system completed by the end of year to get the tax credit. I will lose several thousands of dollars because of their In competence.

computer monitoring system down now for three months. company does not answer phone or puts you on 25 min hold. i regret doing business with them and do not recommend them due to bad service and tech support

Regards, The mySunPower Team Still no answer after 10 days, but today some idiot from the company sends me a Performance report with no power produced for the month of August. I guess I will need to get an Attorney involved to get the $58,000 that I paid for this useless system back. Please cancel any orders you have with this company, or you will be sorry that you did not!
