Hotel Radisson RED Madrid
Hotel Radisson RED Madrid.
The service standards and staff supervision at this hotel are not managed effectively enough.
A comfortable hotel stay is shaped by many factors, but above all by the quality of service and the attention shown to guests. Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel did not meet expectations.
We selected this property primarily because of its convenient location. However, our arrival was not particularly welcoming. The automatic entrance doors were not functioning properly, and we had to wait outside until other guests exited the building. Although a concierge was present nearby, no assistance was offered.
The check-in process was also problematic. Our reservation, made through Booking.com, could not initially be located. Rather than requesting additional information, such as the booking reference number or confirmation email, the receptionist simply stated that the reservation was not in the system.
The reception area itself felt somewhat overcrowded, as several administrative staff members were seated around the front desk. This created a less professional atmosphere than one would normally expect.
When we were shown to the elevator, no explanation was provided regarding the use of the key card required to operate it. The staff member left before we had the opportunity to ask any questions.
The following day, we requested assistance in arranging a taxi. Instead of helping us directly, the receptionist gave vague directions to a taxi stand and suggested that we return if we were unable to find it. Another employee, who appeared to hold a supervisory position, was present but did not offer any assistance. As it turned out, the taxi stand was located some distance away and was not easy to find without clear instructions.
The breakfast service was also disappointing. The food selection was rather limited, and several tables had not been cleared despite the breakfast period being in progress.
In addition, although numerous tables were available, guests were not permitted to choose their own seating and were directed to specific tables instead. This policy felt unnecessarily restrictive and detracted from the overall dining experience.
Throughout our stay, there appeared to be a lack of supervision and a limited focus on guest service. A senior staff member was frequently present near reception, seemingly observing operations, yet no visible effort was made to address guest concerns or improve service quality.
Overall, our stay was disappointing. It is rare that we regret a hotel booking so soon after arrival, but unfortunately this was one of those occasions. Based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again and would be hesitant to recommend the hotel to travelers who place a high value on attentive service and professional hospitality.

Splendid modern hotel. Radisson Red Krakow, Poland
I spent a week in the newly opened contemporarily designed Radisson Red in Krakow. Very modern rooms generously equipped with USB and USB-C ports alongside mains outlets. Full blackout curtains, easy-to-control AC and lovely bathroom with walk-in overhead shower. I stayed in a superior room and found it spacious and thoughtfully appointed with a desk and comfortable sofas.
I didn't use the gym, sauna or restaurant. The only minor drawback is the distance from Krakow Glowny station. It's about half a mile which is fine if you don't mind walking but something to bear in mind if your mobility is impaired. There is no public transport option directly to the hotel. It's about one mile to the old town itself.
In summary I found it to be great and would happily stay there again.

Radisson Red Waterfront Cape Town
Radisson Red Waterfront Cape Town. I am due to visit in September. I booked online directly with the hotel. I was shown a price that included taxes and service fees. I chose the pre pay option( so now unable to cancel) . I was then charged an addition £700 in taxes and service fees. This was not clear at checkout. When I phoned to complain I was basically told I should have noticed the additional charges before I paid! They are refusing to repay this duplicate cost for taxes and services. At best this is sharp practise and has put me off staying, but I have no choice unless I pay for another hotel! Very disappointed

Flexible cancellation?
Flexible cancellation?! Nonsense. Made a genuine mistake in the date selection which I noticed immediately and they basically stole my money. Caught in a game of ping pong with booking.com and Radisson Red shifting responsibility to the other. I will never use either again.

I was very disappointed with my recent sray
I was very disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. The main issue was the lack of hot water, which is a basic necessity that should never be unavailable. I reported this to the front desk during my stay and also followed up via email, but the response I received was simply an apology saying they would “take it on board.”
Unfortunately, this felt like very poor customer service. There was no real attempt to resolve the issue during my stay, nor was there any offer of compensation or even an alternative solution. It gave the impression that customer satisfaction is not a priority.
I made it clear to the hotel that I would be leaving feedback, as I believe other guests should be aware of how this situation was handled. Overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing, and I expected a much higher standard of service.

GET PROPER CLEANERS.
Absolute disgrace. I've stayed at the Radisson Heathrow and Art'otel Hoxton, so I know the standards, but Radisson Red London Greenwich O2 is a health hazard. Checked out after 2 hours because the rooms were filthy. The Superior room stank so bad I felt sick, and I found hair in the bed plus thick dust everywhere. Four different rooms viewed of disappointment and dirt.
When I complained, they showed us a "VIP" room that was even worse- yellowing toilet brush, stains on the walls and door handles, and a filthy bathroom. There were even used hygiene gloves left on the floor in the corridor. To top it off, we couldn't even use the lift because housekeeping had it blocked with laundry, so we had to walk down from the 4th floor. The receptionist just shook their head at us. Date night completely ruined and had to pay for a new hotel last minute. Still waiting for a full refund. Avoid.
