Rude and uncompromising. I had an appointment for a urine test and got there early. When it was my time, I asked if I could give a sample, and they refused. I waited over an hour and almost peed myself in their waiting room. This was the second time I showed for my test. The first time they told me they don’t accept the test after 3pm. LabCorp is much better. My patients also tell me so.

Terrible experience at this Atwater…
Terrible experience at this Atwater location. My parents came as walk-ins and waited over an hour. When they arrived, there were about six other people waiting, but one by one everyone with an appointment was called and left. At one point, my parents were the only ones in the waiting room — and still nobody called them. People continued coming and going, but my parents kept getting overlooked.
When someone finally came out, instead of helping them, the employee told us we could keep waiting or come back the next day. When I asked why no one had called my parents when the waiting room was completely empty, I was told they sometimes need time to "arrange specimens." That's not an acceptable explanation when patients are sitting there waiting with no communication.
I asked for an estimated wait time. She said she didn't know. I asked if they would be called before closing at 3:30 PM — it was 2:30 PM at the time. She said she didn't know. I asked if it was possible they'd close without ever calling my parents. She said, "It's possible."
This is unacceptable. Walk-in patients deserve basic communication and respect. Other Quest locations manage walk-ins just fine. This location needs serious improvement in customer service and basic patient communication.

Do NOT use Quest Diagnostics if you…
Do NOT use Quest Diagnostics if you want run the labs through your insurance. Quest is in network for my insurance, but that means Quest has to give them a discount for services. So instead of charging my insurance like I asked them to, they charged me instead, provided a half assed itemized invoice, and now I can't get refunded the money I paid Quest because Quest didn't run the labs through insurance like I asked them to TWICE! Never again! It's near impossible to get a hold of someone, and they make no effort to help you. They basically stole money from me - charge the person instead of the insurance, and they can bypass those pesky discounts they have to give to the health insurance! I will never use them again NEVER!!! I hate being stolen from. This boils my blood.

Lab itself good. Company very bad.
Experience at the lab was good. However, trying to retrieve my results is another matter. I signed up for the app, got a verification code, downloaded a picture of my license and a live picture of myself. I was told that identity not recognized. I even checked the box for Quest to use my information for other purposes. Is this even legal. You don’t have an option. I would like to find out if there is some kind of lawsuit on going for this. If there is not, there should be. I will never use quest again.

Stuck in an incompetent loop
The system says they cannot verify my identity because their site is down.
Over and over.
But my account is also now blocked because of this.
Customer service is a computer, and dead ends trying to get me to cancel an appointment that does not exist. There is no option to talk to a human.
I had labs drawn 2 weeks ago with no results, I guess they lost them. If there is this level of incompetence in trying to get any resolution, how convinced would you be that your tests are valid?

Their System Loses Appointments
I had an appointment today at the North Tonawanda office on Meadow Dr. I signed in at the kiosk with my appointment code and my name appeared on the big screen.
About an hour later, my name disappeared from the big screen and someone told me I would be called. Then someone else told me that I was signed in as a standby. I told her I had an appointment, but she didn't believe me. She also said that they weren't taking standbys today because they were too busy. She apologized, but it didn't solve anything and I left because I didn't want them wasting any more of my time.
On my way out, I suggested that they get rid of the kiosks and get a receptionist. I know that they probably won't, so I'd like them to fix the bug in their system. In the meantime, I'll be going somewhere else.

Get REady for the Late, the Unprofessional, and the Surly
The office: Pottsville, PA. The time: 6:35 AM.I have had neither breakfast nor coffee.
When I enter the waiting room, the only way I can tell that someone was there was that the lights were on. My 6:40 AM appointment turns into a 6:50 AM appointment, because by the time the technician comes out to get the first patient, it is ten minutes past the 6:30 "opening" time.
When she comes out for me, she calls my middle name, and when I point out that was my middle name, she is unapologetic.
I am currently walking with a cane; when we go back to do the blood draw, I am juggling my cane, purse, phone, and wallet because I knew she would want my ID and insurance cards.
She does not even hold the door.
She sits down, looked at her computer, then flatly informs me that I had never been there before. I flatly tell her I absolutely had. When she was ready for the lab order, she holds out her hand and snaps, "Papers." Are we in Nazi Germany? (I do not ask this, though I sure thought about it.)
The best part (and I am being massively sarcastic here) is that I have to give a urine specimen. No biggie, right, they have nice little cups...
Nope. They have regular sized plastic drinking cups (not the red ones)--THE KIND YOU BUY IN THE SUPERMARKET, WHICH ARE OH SO STERILE--for collecting urine. The cups are in a stack on a table. There are no little wipes so I can't follow directions, and let me tell you it is no easy matter to pee into a cup of that height while sitting on the toilet. I was instructed to leave the OPEN CUP on the sink in the hall.
The technician was not cordial at all. No "how are you this morning?" or "Do you need help getting into the chair?" (I did not expect the latter but I had all that stuff to wrangle.) There was no place to put my things; I actually had to ask her where I should put them (on the arm of the chair, it turned out.) She called me "Sophie" which is NOT my name, and I think it's inappropriate to shorten someone's name without asking if it's okay.
I am very sorry that my insurance requires Quest Diagnostics. I would be much happier if I could use another testing source.
