Absolute SCAM!!! Denied a refund after my dog died the day before the race. I'm not running a race while grieving my dog of 16 years. My girlfriend also was supposed to run the race but she fell ill with a bad flu. Denied both of us. Total scam and I just wish I could have a good word with these a*sholes in person.

I purchased refund protection from Protecht in good faith, expecting a straightforward process if an emergency arose. Instead, I have been subjected to an exhausting, circular runaround from multiple representatives, none of whom seem to communicate with one another. To make matters worse, they are demanding highly sensitive, confidential personal information just to process a basic refund. Asking customers to surrender private data to a third-party vendor under the guise of "verification" is a massive red flag. Every time I raise this concern or attempt to resolve the claim, I am passed off to a new representative and forced to start the explanation process from scratch. This is not "protection"—it is a coordinated effort to wear customers down until they give up on the money they are rightfully owed. Absolute zero stars for customer service. Save your money and buy elsewhere.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. In fact, if there were a negative stars option (perhaps 3 piles of dog poo) I would give them that. Race insurance that "doesn't cover" race cancellation is totally useless. They will only pay out if something happens to you that is so bad you will have forgotten all about the race entry fee anyway. DO NOT BUY INSURANCE THROUGH RACE ROSTER, IT IS A SCAM.

Beware, total scam, goes under many names, probably runs multiple scams. One of them is to imitate a hotel website for booking, then offers "refund insurance". I'm an experienced traveler, have stayed at many hotels and i don't usually get charged until I get there. This company takes your $ as soon as you book.. If things change and you need to cancel it's usually not a big deal unless it's less than 24 hours before check in. However, with requestmyrefund.com (another name for this company) makes it difficult if not impossible to get a refund. Make sure you call the hotel you want to stay in directly to make reservations.

They get zero stars. I cancelled a trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin and I am fighting to get a full refund. I've sent documentation from my doctor showing why I had to cancel, and then I was asked to provide my bank account info to get my REFUND!!!! SCAM!

I paid for refund protection for a half marathon. I got very sick before the race with a virus that went through our entire family (6 of us). Since it was a virus, there was nothing a doctor could have done to help, so we rode it out. They are not refunding me because I did not go to the doctor and I am livid.
