I was lucky to find wonderful customer reviews for Summer in Italy, and I can add t o the compliments. VRBO and others provide a link to see properties but Summer in Italy provides a professional Italian agent who can answer all of your specific questions about the property and the area and can ensure you find the perfect property

Yes Capri is beautiful and an absolute gem to visit, but what made our visit extra fabulous was calling Villa Due Marine home for 2 weeks. Perched near the top of a cliff that overlooks Marina Grande, Capri Town, Monte Solaro and almost Marina Piccola the location and views were magnificent! Being able to walk just about everywhere of interest made this Villa location very useful. Groceries, dining of every type, beautiful walks and of course incredible shopping are right down the steps of this Villa. We anticipated eating out, but honestly, once you discover all the little shops that have amazing fresh produce, meats, baked goods and everything else a chef could imagine,we took advantage of the Villa's wonderful kitchen and incredible deck for 90% of our meals. It was fantastic! The kitchen has everything necessary to cook anything you would at home. The Villa itself is very well maintained and furnished with amazing and unique treasures and artifacts that give the feel of a 5 star penthouse. The Summer in Italy crew were beyond Great and went above and beyond to make our stay and experience extra special and flawless. Special thanks to Nadia! We are avid travelers and were super impressed with the Villa, the location and the management and would recommend Villa Due Marine 100% The only thing that could complicate a stay is the fact that because this Villa is literally perched on a cliff there are many steps to navigate before you get blown away by this incredible place. We actually began to enjoy the steps because we knew what was waiting at the top. Paradise!!

We stayed at a villa on the Amalfi Coast marketed as Madre Luna in August 2023. The photos posted on Summer in Italy website are not those of the actual villa. Even though their website says they take the actual photos. Please ask to see actual photos before booking. The place was nice but there was no place to sit that was comfortable. All the lounge chairs were broken and there were no umbrellas. All hammocks were missing. The beautiful room filled with rattan furniture that's on their website doesn't exist, and the dining area is very basic. I gave one star because they are still posting the wrong photos. I sent Luca actual photos of the place and he did not update the website because these photos showed a place that was definitely in stark contrast to the old photos that are on their site. I think that Summer in Italy is advertising falsely about what the place actually looks like and should update the website. It's been over a year, and I have followed up over and over again, but still the inaccurate photos are posted. I would post my photos but don't have the option here. We were there in August 2023.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I sincerely apologize for any disappointment you experienced during your stay at the villa. I want to assure you that we take your concerns very seriously. We’re glad to hear that you found the place nice during your stay. Since your visit over a year ago, the villa has undergone significant refurbishment, completed at the beginning of the 2024 season. We’ve been waiting for these upgrades to be fully completed before updating the photos, which caused some delay. Additionally, as the villa is very popular and often occupied, finding the right combination of low season, good weather, and availability for professional photography has been challenging. We genuinely regret that the current photos on the website do not yet reflect the villa's upgraded condition. The villa underwent significant refurbishment in several areas, after your stay in August 2023. These updates include improvements to various amenities, including lounge chairs, hammocks, and other furnishings. We rely on professionally taken photos to ensure a consistent and accurate representation of each villa. These photos must meet specific technical requirements in terms of resolution, lighting, and framing to ensure clarity and uniformity across all listings. For this reason, we are unable to update the website with photos provided by guests, as they may not meet these technical standards. Please rest assured that the villa is now in even better condition than what is currently shown in the photos, and we are committed to updating them as soon as we can. In the meantime, we are offering a 10% price reduction to ensure guests continue to receive great value. Regarding the "false advertising" claim, we want to reassure you that while the photos on the website may be outdated due to the recent upgrades, we took the original pictures ourselves. Our goal is to provide a clear and accurate representation, and we are working diligently to update the photos to reflect the villa’s current, enhanced condition. We take transparency very seriously. We apologize for the delay in updating them and are making this a priority. We appreciate your feedback and regret that your stay did not fully meet expectations. Your experience has motivated us to improve, and we have acted on the issues raised to enhance the guest experience. Thank you again for your patience and for bringing these issues to our attention.
