We have had podium for a couple of years now and the service has been fine. In the last couple of months it has been absolutely horrendous. We have had so many days where we are not receiving calls, calls are dropping, unable to process payments, etc. They keep rolling out "updates" that have made the user experience worse and the actual system work less and less. Our business relies on the ability to communicate with our customers. Who knows how many thousands of dollars we have lost over the last 3 months. One missed call can cost us $2k and we get 20+ calls a day so do the math if this has been going on for 3 months. We are seriously looking to move to another software because this is not sustainable for us or any business to be paying what we are paying for a system that does not WORK! I do not recommend them at all at this current time. Go elsewhere. They are a trainwreck.

Podium has been mostly really great. We have tried many of the companies features, the most beneficial feature for us is the review generator. Our customer review totals have jumped exponentially, which we severely struggled with prior to being Podium customers. *We used the Podium payments for 1 very big sale we had last year however, which was a disaster! The customer ended up doing a chargeback and because of the 3rd party player (Podium) the process took too long during review and I lost the chargeback case and lost $13,000. This is what I was told by the credit card company. I will never use Podium Payments ever again due to this experience with that product. We also use their messaging tools often, which has been an asset to our business, though rarely turns into a sale.

Customer service from real people who are truly trying to understand the nuances of my small business. And these customer service humans are actually accessible, not a 12-step navigation through a phone tree. When something isn’t working, they put in a ticket to the development team to see if features can be added. It’s really incredibly refreshing this day and age.
