Kdp AmazonReviews of kdp.amazon.com

There is ZERO way to correct, connect or co-work anything with KDP, impossible to speak to a human being, they said they sent emails, I answered ALL emails and they said I did not. They shut me down over a simple confusion between the new kindle Vella launch and my book that had a whopping 14 copies sold. KDP is NOT author-friendly!!!!!!

I have been trying to transfer my late wife's book from her KDP account into mine. They asked for proof that I own the IP, and I sent them a copy of the Will and Grant of Probate (which prove that I am both beneficiary of the estate and also have the right to distribute the estate). I am told that I need something signed by her. Should I employ a medium to contact her from beyond the grave? I have never been treated as badly. The transfer of IP following a death should be a straightforward process. There is no information or any FAQs that I can find. Shame on this company.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am an author who published with KDP Amazon. For the first four months, the royalties that were supposed to go to me went to a bank account unknown to me. I spent hours over the past three months trying to get kdp amazon to pay the royalties to me and to get to the bottom of how my royalties went to someone else. I am getting nothing but the run-around from them. It's shocking the incompetence of their customer service department and painful to have my royalties stolen.

I publish low content journals. I teach mindful journaling and published a series on "Exploring I" The journal has self-questions on any topic and blank pages to write (110 lined pages). "My covid experience" journal got flag. At first they said I had copyright issues. Not so. All my content comes from my head and I purchased and have the receipt for any pictures I use. Then I get an email that the journal was blocked because the topic was Covid. This was distressing as my journal was to help people process what they went through. It's just a bunch of self-questions you have to answer. I really think Amazon needs to have a call-in to a live person. Self-publishing is not always as cut and dry as a email. Sometimes you need to speak to someone. How sad. very discouraging especially when you are told your work is not yours.

Their customers service is trash. They claim that I don't have rights to my books and that they sent me multiple messages that I didn't reply to. I have replied to every message that came through my account or email from their reps. The only messages were for the new product Vella platform were I had a conversation with a rep that I can submit episode from my book on this platform as they only want new material there. After they explained that I did not try to submit again. But that is not what was explained as to why my account was terminated. I replied to the messages and all of the conversation that were sent to me. The lack of reasoning to why my account was terminated took this long and you have failed to explain why my account was terminated still. I have submitted all of the requested information from me by any of the reps I spoke with through our conversations. The reason people keep telling me why my account was terminated is that I don't have rights. I am the only person that have rights to either of my books. I have provided this information when requested as well. The lack of customer service to clearly explain why my account was terminated or what I did wrong is terrible. I am still waiting on the answers to this day after I have requested this information over 20 times now.

Lately I have had nothing but trouble when ordering author copies of my books. One set of paperbacks was published without page numbers and I'm assuming they used the ebook template to publish them. I just received some in the mail today and nine were done correctly. But one in the set was created using an old version template that I took offline months ago. Lately working with KDP has been nothing but a headache.

I haven't got a dime in 2 years from KPD who claims im getting paid. They do not report all copies sold, change the prices when they want when they are doing well, and send out not good quality books. They to me scam people. I dont understand why its so hard to be honest. They want to make the money from all sales 100%.

I recently had to change my cellphone number for my safety from an abusive ex I escaped; obviously I didn’t know my new number before it got disconnected so I could change it on my Amazon KDP account. Every time I log in and the two step verification sends a code it obviously goes to a number I have no access to. I’ve emailed KDP and got nowhere. I called yesterday to explain the situation and after 30 minutes arguing with the guy on the other end I asked for his supervisor; he asked me a lot of questions and after I answered them all correct he said he couldn’t verify me because my account has been inactive for some time; my father had died in 2017 and I took a break from writing to take responsibility as administrator of his estate. Still stuck in limbo! Have to update bank info to receive royalty payments and can’t receive my money because no one will help me! I even asked if I could send an image of my drivers license and was told I couldn’t. Wth! Amazon is making money of my books but I’m not because I can’t get into that account!
