Many of our clients choose to send ACH payments or issue checks to vendors through digital services like Bill Pay, which can help streamline payments and reduce the need for traditional paper checkbooks. While complimentary checkbooks are not offered directly by us at this time, you are always welcome to order them through our preferred vendor, Harland Clarke, or any third-party provider of your choice. A member of our team has followed up to review the available options with you and ensure you’re selecting the most cost-effective offering available. We recognize that every business operates differently and this approach may be limiting, which is why we continuously evaluate how we can better serve our clients as their needs evolve. Hi Andres, We understand that receiving notice of an account closure, particularly early in the relationship, can be unexpected. As a federally regulated bank, we are obligated to perform comprehensive account and transaction reviews both at onboarding and on an ongoing basis. In certain situations, if required verification cannot be completed or activity does not align with our risk policies, we may decide to close an account in accordance with those policies.As previously communicated, any remaining funds will be returned following our standard procedures and processing timelines. While this may not have been the desired outcome that you were hoping for, we can assure you that these measures are in place to protect all clients and maintain a secure, reliable digital banking experience. We understand how frustrating it can be when certain payment and deposit solutions don’t function the way you expect, especially when you’re trying to move funds quickly. As a digital bank, we are strong advocates of using technology to complete financial transactions online and prioritize reliable, business-grade payment rails that most companies commonly use, such as ACH, wires or instant transfers and payments via FedNow. At this time, we do not support certain peer-to-peer services, including Zelle, or debit-based transactions on platforms like PayPal due to historically elevated fraud risks associated with some P2P transaction types. These safeguards are intended to protect our clients and maintain a secure digital banking experience for all. Although Grasshopper business debit cards currently do not support instant transfers or payments through P2P apps, you can still use many platforms like Paypal by linking your bank account directly via routing and account numbers. While this approach may feel limiting in some situations, we take our role as your banking partner very seriously. It is never our intention to make banking more difficult or slow you down, which is why we are actively evaluating our payment capabilities and exploring new technologies to expand flexibility while maintaining the bank-grade security standards our clients expect.
