Poor automated system and calls to customer that tell you nothing and are an annoyance! Just because other companies are using automated systems doesn’t mean an important medical service for medications should use them. Any other pharmacy makes personal phone calls to customers when there is a problem with an order. Automated call system only said medication and date but not the medication name that there was a problem with.

Absolutely not worth it!! I have no idea what I am paying for with this coverage. This company only pays a percentage of my prescription after I pay my high deductible and that for the GENERIC version $997.00!! I will not have medication this year because without my deductible paid ( I don’t need to go to the doctor so my deductible probable won’t be met) my meds are $997.00 for GENERIC. Additionally the responsible thing to do would be to have prescription assistance resources available to refer your clients. Because you know many of us can’t afford this price gouging. If your company offers a plan with Express Scripts and you have other plans available get the other plan. Express Scripts is a rip off.

Worse Pharmacy Company in America! Delays in filling prescriptions and preauthorization. Blames it on the doctor's office.

I got a MARKETING call from them - even tho that number is set only for text - asking for a review. Really annoyed, so intrusive to get a phone call I did NOT consent to. When I called to try and stop it, they provided a SEPARATE NUMBER to opt out. So, had to write down the number - they could have left the number in the voice mail so I could simply click on it. Instead, had to write it and then call that. THAT number - message said if I opt out I will receive NO notifications about my prescriptions. So wrong - first, they should NOT call me with a marketing/review request, or EVER, since I did not consent to that. Second, they should NOT tie allowing marketing calls to getting medical info. I allow VERY FEW calls period ‘cos of so much spam. May have given them a decent review but now will never.

This past March I ordered 3 generic meds from Express Scripts. The total cost of the 3 was $13.34. Yesterday, only 2.5 months later, I ordered the same 3 meds. The cost this time! $31.34. I called and questioned this increase of 2.5X. I talked with 3 different agents : Agent 1 blamed the increase on deductibles (wrong!). Agent 2 said each of the 3 different pharma companies tripled their prices for my 3 meds over the past 2.5 months. Huh? The price of oil hasn’t gone up 3X since March (wrong!). Agent 3 blamed it on Express Scripts itself, and offered to put me on hold and find a cheaper pharmacy. After 10 minutes she came back and said she found a different pharmacy and 1 of my 3 meds would only cost me $7.67. Huh? That same med thru Express Scripts was only $6.03. (Wrong!). I hung up on the agent. So I spent nearly an hour on the phone, and got 3 different wrong answers from 3 different people (including 2 supervisors). Will the additional $18 hurt me? No. But there are many other people out there, who are struggling to make ends meet, and who are being taken advantage of by Express Scripts! This is WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! And shameful!

They need to train staff. They don’t know the answers when you ask them simple questions. One customer representative called my insurance company to find out answer to a question. Health insurance stated prescriptions and health information is separate. Nothing in writing. Call up and left with u answered questions. Terrible

Why after 10 years on Medicare and TRICARE for life would they call to verify you don’t have another insurance. That’s truly harassment. We’re old and it confuses people. Shame on express scripts which we will stop using completely. You lost a customer…..

I have tried for several years to figure out how to use express-scripts, because Wellcare wants its members to use them. Express-scripts repeatedly looks for ways NOT to fill prescriptions - "We need to talk to your doctor" "We have questions about your prescription" "Your prescription is still in processing and we don't know when it will ship". You name it, they come up with it. Finally, today, I gave up. I transferred all prescriptions to my local pharmacy and will not have to deal with Express-Scripts again.
