Over the past 6+ years, I have purchased 5 products from ego, a substantial amount of money. On Saturday, 25 May, 2024, my power edger failed to start. I placed a call on Sunday, 26th and received no answer. Since they were closed Memorial Day, 27th, I called again on the 28th. Customer service informed me that the warrantee expired on the 27th. After 2 additional calls, one to a supervisor, they remained belligerent on the warrantee expiration date which was Memorial Day. DO NOT purchase anything for this sham of a company if you expect them to honor their warrantee. I am so thankful I did not move forward with purchasing the Zero turn ride on mower ($5000+). I am done with Ego products.

Their batteries are the worst. I had one dead in 3 years just one month over the warranty and the company did nothing. Paid the over $300 for a 10 ah unit and dead again in LESS than 3 years. Hopefully EGO will not find an excuse not to honor the warranty!

The trimmer only worked well a 3 to 4 hours of use. After that it acted as if it was shorting out, it would work a bit and stop working. I registered the product as soon as I got it home but when I called to arrange a repair I was told I would have to send a photo copy of the receipt to them. The receipt had been mislaid and after some conversation the rep agreed to me a one time a one time ''favor''. I've never been treated this way before. After waiting for the tool for 7 weeks I finally got it back, it worker around an hour before the same problem happened again, now it doesn't work at all and Ego won't repair it. I think they sell garbage products so they look to get out of standing behind them I can't say strong enough what a trash product and trash company this is. NEVER buy anything from them.

Please don't waste your money. The battery warranty is 3 years, and it will surely degrade and become useless around that time frame. You spend $1,000 plus dollars for a product that will last 3 years, and a replacement battery will cost you $450. They don't stand behind their product and will not provide any support or resolution for you. You're better off buying a $600 gas lawn mower, which works better and will last 15-20 years. This is just my perspective.

After owning the battery for only 6 months and on my 6th mow, the battery only lasts 30 minutes in my lawn mower. This was a far cry from the 55 minutes they say it should last. They do not honor their warranty and thus have complaints into both the BBB and NYS Attorney Generals office. Buyer beware

Brand new mower, either battery or battery charger is broken. I’ve been waiting for customer service for over 1.5 hrs. I’m going to return this now. You would think a company with so many positive reviews online would properly staff their call center. UPDATE - After 1.5 hrs on hold I spoke to someone who recommended the fastest way to resolve the issue was to return the mower to the store (which I did). The next mower worked fine. It was just a bad battery. Product seems good but Ego doesn't seem to invest in customer service.

purchased 5 tools and a mower over the last 3 years. have had to go through ego for 3 batteries and a charger... when I told ego that my mower had bling lites that wouldn't go off, and would intermitely quit, ego told me for warranty use national tool near me... i called national tool , told them the problem and he said "its a $160 up front diagnosis fee and would be at least 6 weeks b4 they would look at it" warranty? Now I know for sure that will never buy or let any of my neighbors buy anything ego...
