I own a mower, line trimmer, blower, hand held hedge trimmer, and the pole trimmer. Nice tools but in Az even storing the batteries in side they over heat very quickly. Doesn’t seem to matter if it’s the 5ah or the 2.5ah batteries. Into it to deep to turn back. Buyer beware of short term operations in warm weather climates.

Horrible Customer service!!! took me seven days to finally get through to them, stayed on hold 1.5 hours one time then finally hung up. Battery on leaf blower only last now for 10 minutes then it dies.Only four cells charge, one remains red after a full charge. When I finally got through to CS they walked me through trouble shooting the battery and charger which was a joke. They then said to email them a purchase slip and they would review it. Don't have the receipt as it was purchased over a year ago.They have a three year warranty.I will never purchase from them again!

I had a very bad experience with the Ego Lawn mower, I bought it this July 2023, First couple of cuts worked well. This season Lawn mower did not work. When I open a support case they send me Lowes for repair. The Day I picked up from Lowes, Lowes people asked me about Labor costs. I called multiple times to EGO support team they said your case had been escalated manager would connect you to clear this issue. But no one called me and despite the fact I called several times the Support person said you have to pay labor costs. When my product is under warranty why I have to pay? Pathetic EGO Company and support team.

I got a weed eater and blower and was going to buy a chain saw only had it a less than a year and one of the batteries went bad , but I’m bad I forgot to register it so I got screwed on the battery even though it has a date on it . So I’m willing to sale mine cheap never buy an Ego I really liked it till the battery went bad . To much money for something the company will not back up

The ego weed eater I have is the worst I have ever had. I do not have the automatic feeding and did not know it would be such a hastle to load string that is ego string I bought. It is not meant for older people and women to operate. It is a very crappy device and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Ego tools are great when they work. But problems are frequent and when they happen, you will not get anything close to customer service. My trimmer would not turn on after one year of use and "customer service" phone service was completely useless. They are located in a third world country where they don't even have lawns, and if you get told to take it to a repair center, who told me they don't even repair the smaller tools and just submit for replacement. Yet that process left me without a trimmer for 3 months! Now my mower won't start sometimes and indicates overheating even though it hasn't been used yet. Others are having the same problem on the message boards but EGO keeps deleting my posts on the topic. I spent top-dollar to get what I thought were the best tools. When the mower decides to work it's phenomenal, but I don't have the time to take the batteries in and out and try starting it for about 30 minutes before it decides to turn on. I invested in an ego trimmer, chain saw, and mower, but I will have to switch brands and eat the cost since EGO doesn't care about it's customers and leaves them to compare notes on a "community" space on their website, taking down the posts that tell of bad experiences with their useless overseas customer service.

I have tried to get someone on the phone for 2 days! My 5-year warranty will expire soon, and I think they know it, and will not answer my calls!! I just had to add to this review. I finally received a callback after-hours, talked with a rep that obviously English was not their 1st language for 3 minutes and 14 seconds and they dropped the call. No way to call them back because they are closed. Unbelievable bad service!!!!

Just purchased an EGO trimmer/leaf blower combo kit from Ace Hardware a few days ago. Opened the box and missing a couple hardware components that attach the guard to the trimmer. Waited an hour on their CS number only to be told that I had to register it first. What part of "just opened the box" don't you understand? Totally wasted my time waiting for an hour only to be told sorry we can't help you (without the "sorry" part!). Gentleman I talked to had total apathy for my situation. Didn't care that I had just opened the box and hadn't had time to register the product yet. He did tell me I could go to their parts warehouse site and BUY the items that were missing from the box. Seriously?!?! I just sold my Greenworks products so I could switch to EGO. Major mistake! Live and learn! Don't make my mistake. EGO customer service comes with apathetic agents that couldn't care any less. Run away from EGO as fast as you can! I sure wish I did!!!
