In the black hole of being available 24/7, work often feels overwhelming. I've been working 'alone' as an entrepreneur for 7 years now - I have core business and take on short to midterm projects with associates and temp employees to reach end goals. Mostly, I have no one to report to other than myself. Signed up for Commit Action to test out filling that accountability piece that was missing - never imagined the results, content, process would be as elaborate, well developed, and effective as it has been. I get weekly calls to keep me honest as well as texts and emails throughout the week to highlight key factors of my action plan. My coach was very pleasant and organised but I found the accountability to be generic and it even felt a little 'copy &paste' at times. The lack of experience and technical knowledge of my industry was also a factor in my decision to leave CA. I found a more suitable platform with coaches offering industry-specific mentoring , greater weekly time allocation and it even costs less.

One of the best decisions I've ever made. My coach regularly asks me what I'm doing to take care of myself and replenish the well I draw from to work toward my goals. It's like micro-dosing results-focused therapy, with someone who's specially trained and sympathetic to the struggles of achievement in what can feel like a vacuum. Any creative, development professional, or business owner with dreams of expansion--anyone at all, really--can benefit from a Commit Action coach. Moreover, they have an extensive library of presentations and talks about aspects of productivity, self-care, entrepreneurship, problem solving, and creativity, and I've gleaned something valuable from every single one, even if it was just a one-line reminder to center myself when I'm feeling overwhelmed. Worth every penny every month. My coach, Jessi, is always in my corner. Even when she challenges my thinking it's always done respectfully and with the focus of aligning my mental compass with my goals. She's the best.
