It has helped me to find amazing families! As a nanny I often feel nervous about meeting new families and having all the description for the position I am applying, care.com gives me that peace I am looking for when meeting new families, it makes it easy to come back and read what they are looking for and to establish contact as well.

I have had the opportunity to meet wonderful people who have entrusted me with the care of their homes, their children, or elderly people who need me.

scammers, i am looking for a cleaner so first they charge my credit card and only after that require me to verify my id with camera selfie and all that garbage which i never planned on doing. I dont like my facial print made public and they treat you like a dog or something. we are giving them money and they disrespect us! bad company total scumbags !

I have been a member of Care.com for years now and this platform has helped me to land most of my caregiving jobs. While Care.com is being good to me, there's still one aspect of their platform they need to work on. People posting fake jobs in order to scam unsuspecting potential employees. I believe, we as prospective employees are at a disadvantage moreso than prospective employers. While they're encouraged to run background checks and meet prospective employees in public places before inviting them into their homes (which is fine), we are not given the same guidelines in which to protect ourselves. We are encouraged to add pictures to our profiles while the employers don't have to do that. The bottom line is Care.com should level the playing field. Encourage employers to post a picture with their job postings(moreso take a selfie) so that Care.com can differentiate which jobs are fake from those which are not.
