Because I had used this platform 3 years ago, I expected to sign up, pay my fee, post a job and chat with workers. That did not happen. I paid my fee and posted a job. However I could Never respond to any person. Each time I logged in I was told I had to give them my Driver's L.#. I don't know why bc I had used this platform before and I have not changed or moved. I never could find any Help in their FAQ or any way to get a real human to explain. I wasted a Lot of time trying, and only ended up frustrated and poorer than I was before. I never found a caregiver even though I paid my fee for 3 months straight. No one ever asks you if you are satisfied with their service. I am Not! I also DO Not Trust this company with sensitive information like Drivers L.#. They have tricked me, and should be admonished! Care,com is not being forthright in explaining they want my D.L. as Care Seeker, before I ever gave them my money. I would never sign up if they were honest. I can find Help locally on social media and due my own research on a person for less money than Care,com charges me. And, of course, their policy is No Refunds.

Awesome site to find jobs

We were trying to find caregivers for our elderly aunt with dementia. It had been stressful and time-consuming for me. Care.com made the process less of both. I posted the positions as 2 separate ones based on the hours needed. I had responses that started that day. I did find that most of the applicants didn't read the specifics about the days and times needed before applying. I interviewed 5 individuals. We were able to communicate easily through the site and arrange for in person interviews. I ended up hiring one individual for both positions. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. There were 2 other applicants that I would recommend to anyone. I'm so grateful that Care.com made this process easier.

Is zero an option? This company is run by criminals in 2024 the Federal Trade Commission sued them and won an $8.5 million settlement for consumers because they engaged in deceptive practices which made it near impossible to get a refund. They were also auto renewing subscriptions without consent. Well, they’re still doing it. My elderly mother has dementia so she therefore cannot understand what she’s agreeing to and they have stolen almost $150 from her and refuse to give it back. This is disgusting. They are praying on the elderly and they are unapologetic about it. I am currently in the process of suing them after they refused to cooperate with my Better Business Bureau complaint. Skumbags! Stay far away from them.

It was easy to set up my job posting and find a caregiver for my cat with diabetes who requires daily medication. After answering my questions through care and knowing the person went through a background check, we met in person. It is good to know my cat will be well cared for when I am unable to be home. It was not intuitive on how to pause or delete the job once I hired the caregiver.

They are malicious in their billing We thought we were signing up for 3mo of access, and they billed us EVERY 3mo. They did not make that clear when we were signing up. This is deliberately bad design. I would not recommend this company.

First time I had hired a caregiver directly. I quickly heard from several qualified caregivers who lived locally and were available. Those I messaged back were all very responsive.
