I had problems with a cable and internet provider after my Mom passed away with canceling service and being double billed. after trying to get everything straightened out talking to multiple people with no results I filled out a complaint with the better business bureau and they finally straightened everything out. After just seeing a comershal for the company that was unwilling to do the right thing it made remember how much the better business bureau helped me!

You can look at my review of wish.com, posted the same complaint at bbb.org. Basically, Wish.com lured me into buying some 2$ items, then suddently substracted 139$ from my bank, claimed it was turned into wish store credits, then blocked my account. I posted this on bbb.org and a even tho wish.com responses were clearly contradictory and meant to save time without any intention to resolve the issue, and even tho there's thousands of people and class actions accusing wish.com of contraband, deceitful description, fraud... well a "Rodney T. - Dispute Resolution Specialist" from bbb.org closed my complaint claiming wish.com tried to resolve the issue in good faith... Heck, wish.com was pretending to give facts about what happened during the exchange of responses on bbg.org and in the end, just before Rodney T. Closed the complaint, wish.com asked about the order number... They claimed the were trying to fix the issue without even knowing what is what about and the bbb.org shut it down before I could answer. That's evidently corruption if you ask me.

I filed a complaint through BBB against a business (Eastwood Homes in NC) who had materially misrepresented a property to us and kept our deposit when the truth about their misrepresentation became apparent. I also explained in my BBB complaint that the company had ALREADY skirted the complaint process with NCREC (North Carolina Real Estate Commission) - wherein the business was LITERALLY allowed 10X the clearly stated time limit to reply and then got let off with a mere warning without even being held to compliance with NCREC's complaint process. Specifically, Eastwood was allowed to get by without providing statements and a detailed narrative directly from the agents involved in representing the property. NCREC indicated in writing that those statements were required in order to provide their assessment of the complaint. In my BBB complaint, nearly the same unfair handling of the process occurred. 1) The business, Eastwood Homes, was supposed to be limited to 14 days to respond, but was allowed 40+ days by BBB and then provided their answer on the last day - which I would have missed had I not been checking every single day. I was given only a few days for my final response - and I have to wonder if I would have gotten away with the same thing, but I couldn't afford to take that chance. 2) Each time I responded to Eastwood's BBB response, I clearly pointed out how Eastwood was simply making references to the NCREC case without addressing the issues that ACTUALLY comprised my BBB complaint. 3) They made statements / claims that were unsubstantiated (ex: Claiming that NCREC has "exclusive jurisdiction" on this matter, when NCREC themselves advised me - as they do others as well - to take other measures to pursue an outcome. Again, ultimately, they NEITHER addressed NOR denied my claims of misrepresentation on BBB, but simply referred to my case filed against them through NCREC. HOWEVER, BBB closed the case and labeled it as "answered" . They failed to follow their OWN guidelines twice in my case - for deadlines and for categorizing the status. This case SHOULD have been labeled as "unresolved" which demonstrates a company's lack of effort in resolving and sometimes leads to a mediation or arbitration and possibly solution. To be clear, the company said absolutely NOTHING about the issues I made with them in my BBB complaint, and offered absolutely no resolution. I have questioned this outcome by email at least twice with a BBB agent and received no offer to help or relook at the case. Decide for yourself.....below are BBB's guidelines for categorizing a closed complaint: "Once a complaint is closed, BBB will assign one of the following closing statuses: Resolved = The complainant verified the issue was resolved to their satisfaction. Answered = The business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer either (a) did not accept the response, OR (b) did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction. Unresolved = The business responded to the dispute but failed to make a good faith effort to resolve it. Unanswered = The business failed to respond to the dispute. Unpursuable = BBB is unable to locate the business.

You had 1 job. Waited 2 weeks and then informed me they weren't pursuing my complaint. I can only imagine they shook down the business I was complaining about in that time.

I purchased a E130 John Deer riding mower which had a rebate of $200 for this purchase. I filled out the rebate form on May 20, 2020 and my purchase was on May 19, 2020. I started calling the rebate center on July 22, 2020 to inform The L Rebate Center that i have no receive my rebate. Since July 22, 2020 I have called at least eight times starting in July and the last call was on December 30, 2020. I have basically been told the same thing" our system is in the process of updating all rebates forms" and it will take some time to get the rebate processed. The last person I talked to was A......f and he informed me of the same processing situation that started in July 2020. I am convinced that NO One Cares in this rebate department based upon my experience with them. I also have emailed the rebate center and the CEO of this Company but still nothing has been done. Where is the justice in this, at this point I am spilling what has happened to me Rodxxxxxx Lxxxxx

Recently I filed a complaint against Cheapoair.com with NYC BBB. After the company responded and I refused, and the company responded again and I refused again, BBB closed the complaint with the following observation: “The business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer either (a) did not accept the response, OR (b) did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction.” So, the BBB acted as judge, jury, and executioner to decide that (A) the company had responded to my issues, and (B) the consumer was at fault for not accepting the company response. If they wanted to be fair, unbiased, and neutral, this is what they should have said: "The consumer and business exchanged their positions and issues but couldn't reach an agreement. The consumer is dissatisfied with the business response". A completely useless and biased organization that is a protector of companies, not of consumers.
