Booking ref: H17217187 Friday 29 May 2026. Utterly horrifying experience engaging with these rogues! Their "agent" assured me my request for a specific disabled friendly room was in hand, when in fact the hotel had already assigned the specific room. The promised refund, minus their "fee" of course, has never arrived. They are thieves, with absolutely no conscience or morals!!

BBB allows false and misleading complaints to damage small businesses, even when presented with evidence contradicting those claims. These complaints can appear in Google searches and AI-generated summaries, seriously harming a company's reputation and credibility. Meanwhile, BBB can invoke Section 230 protections to avoid liability for third-party statements. Protecting consumers is important, but who protects businesses from false accusations? BBB should be held accountable for how it handles disputed information and the damage it can cause.

Jacuzzi, Care Free, New Bath Today -- excellent service and quality. Jessica K., Product Specialist and Ken, installer of bathroom. Both professionals. Highly recommend.

BBB did warn me that it could not compel a business to issue a refund or enforce a particular outcome. What I underestimated was how little the complaint process could accomplish once the business simply maintained its position. I filed a complaint after weeks of trying to recover nearly $2,000. I supplied detailed information and explained a specific factual contradiction between the company’s position and my financial institution’s records. BBB forwarded my complaint to the business, forwarded its response to me, and then forwarded my rebuttal back to the business. The company continued to maintain that it had refunded the money. I rejected that response because the money was still missing and no independently traceable evidence had been produced. BBB then closed the complaint as “Answered” — meaning the business had addressed the issues raised, but I remained dissatisfied. BBB later clarified that this did not mean it agreed with the business or considered its evidence more credible. I understand that BBB is not a regulator, court, or enforcement agency. My criticism is not that BBB failed to exercise powers it does not have. It is that the process depends very heavily on voluntary cooperation. If a business simply repeats its position, BBB has little practical leverage to move the dispute toward resolution. In my case, the process consumed several weeks during an already prolonged effort to recover missing funds and did not materially advance the investigation. Consumers should understand that BBB can be useful when a business is willing to resolve a complaint voluntarily. It is much less useful when the dispute requires someone to compel production of evidence, conduct a financial trace, or require a refund

⚠️ The BBB protects corporate paperwork, not real consumers. My experience with the Better Business Bureau (specifically the Central Ontario branch) proved that this organization is nothing more than a rigid, bureaucratic shield for businesses. I filed a formal complaint against an unaccredited medical clinic that used aggressive, isolating room tactics to pressure me into a high-pressure contract and withheld the signed copies from me. Because the predatory business simply assigned an administrator to reply to the paperwork and produced the withheld signature, the BBB immediately marked the case as "answered" and shut the file down. Worse, when I tried to leave an honest, public customer review to warn other vulnerable women in my community about these specific room traps, the BBB manually blocked and deleted my review based on a technical data rule. The BBB does not care about ethics, consumer safety, or the environment in which contracts are forced upon people. They care entirely about checking administrative boxes. They are a private directory, not a consumer watchdog. Avoid relying on their ratings.

BBB is completely useless and difficult to contact.

First of all, I don’t even know the point of the Better Business Bureau because they do not help consumers. They are all for the companies I sent them all my proof. About a company taking my money and they automatically took their word and closed my complaint after the company sent them no proof that they were doing anything wrong. So my advice don’t waste your time filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They don’t do anything. maybe the company pays them off

Absolute joke, they will not help if you are not in the USA or Canada, even if you purchased from a US company. BBB Basically protecting the shady business practices of US companies worldwide.
