So far we have loved the customer service! Great pricing! And great quality aligners. So many I’ve talked to with other brands complain about sharp edges and being too high up on the gums. Haven’t had any trouble at all with these!

Aligners Co may be an okay company, but I had a horrible experience. It took a long time to get my treatment plan and upon receiving my plan I still had spacing. I informed Aligner Co prior to purchasing my aligners that my goal was to close my gaps and fix my edge-to-edge bite. When I brought this to their attention, they informed me that their experts could not close all of my spaces without it resulting in a reverse bite. I was okay with not being and candidate (although they initially told me I was) and appreciated their honestly so I simply asked for a refund. When I asked for the refund, since I didn’t approve my treatment plan, I was sent another treatment plan that closed all of my spaces but my teeth looked weird and the alignment was off. I informed them that I still declined the treatment due to preview of my teeth. Aligner co informed me that they would not refund my money due to me “being a candidate” although they previously told me that closing my spaces would result in an reverse bite/underbite. After speaking with a manager for 30-45 minutes I was finally granted my refund when I informed the company that I would contact my credit card company regarding the charge. Worst yet, Aligner Co used one of my treatment photos on their social media with a caption that stated “Social distancing is the need of the hour, but not for your teeth”. As a person who has struggled with gaps In my teeth all my life, this ridicule brought me to tears. Upon my request Aligner Co did remove the photo. I am aware that people have different experiences with the same company, but I just wanted to share my experience. Update: thank you for your reply and the call, but that is not accurate. Your company informed me that if my spaces were to be closed, I would result in “reverse bite”. I was okay with not being a candidate. I was not okay with receiving an unrequested second preview closing my spaces but that would yield a reverse bite. I was not okay with initially being told that I could not receive a refund because I was a candidate based on the second treatment plan that was provided. I was also not okay with having to go around and around with a supervisor for over 30 minutes to get a refund. There are too many horror stories of customers having bite issues after receiving treatment from various with aligner companies, I did not not want to be one of them. So while I appreciate the response, and the attempt to make things “right”, I am not interested in trying your company again.

AlignerCo has been great to work with. They are definitely competitive in pricing for invisible teeth aligners. I would definitely recommend using them, bearing in mind that any online-only treatment might require a little bit of aligner tweaking on your behalf as they cannot see you in person. But this is no reason to pass them up, especially since they're half the price of everyone else I quoted. I am a patient that only had a little bit of correction needed, so I can only speak to my situation. I paid fully out of pocket because my insurance carrier doesn't cover this kind of orthodontics, so I don't know how the reimbursement or insurance coverage works. I'm on week 5 of treatment, and about 3 months into the journey. I paid in full up front and in a few days, received my impression kit. I would DEFINITELY recommend getting feedback on your practice impression because I thought I did it perfect and it turns out I missed a spot. Customer service helped me get it just right. It took a few weeks to get the treatment preview and a few more weeks to get the aligners sent. It was on par with what their estimates were, and considering this was only a few weeks into the pandemic quarantines, was definitely understandable. I asked for an estimate on when I'd get my preview (this was at the 3-week mark) and they said they'd expedite my preview, and they got it to me the next day. This company does offer their services with no frills, which is why the price is so great. The packaging is simple, the aligners are sealed in baggies by number, they give you a chart with what teeth they are moving each time. You wear each set for two weeks and then switch to the next. The very first one was pretty painful at first, but not unbearable. Being friends with ibuprofen for a couple days helped a lot and by day 3 the pain was basically gone. I'd recommend leaving them alone as much as possible day 1 because it hurts worst for a couple minutes when you change them (put them in or take them out). So if you can minimize the number of times you're moving them, the less pain you'll have. But really, the pain goes away quickly. Moving to the next set, they were tight and tender for a day, then totally fine. It's like your teeth need to get used to wiggling again, and subsequent tweaks don't hurt nearly as bad. The only thing I have had to intervene on is slightly filing off part of my top aligners. If I had to guess, I pressed a little too hard on my upper front teeth with the impressions, because set 2 and onward are cutting into my gums in one particular area. For me, (and I'm just being honest about what I did,) this is an easy fix because I am skilled with a Dremel, and taking off half a mm and smoothing it out with filing sticks did the trick. BUT I wouldn't do this unless you're absolutely certain you can handle filing down the edge!! Customer service said taking a clean nail file to them to take down an edge is perfectly fine. I personally wouldn't recommend going the Dremel route unless you are extremely used to working with tools like that, the aligners could easily break. Stick with a small, clean emery board and keep at it until the spot doesn't cut into your gums anymore. Other than needing minor tweaks to the fit, they have been great. They hold up to my moderate grinding and clenching because, hey, they are foreign objects in your mouth, it's like when you bite your cheek and can't stop touching it with your tongue. Overall, quite happy with everything. They are up front, no gimmicks, no tricks, and they have answered all of my questions within a day!

I decided to go with alignerco after reading about the other guys horrible customer service. I couldn't be more happy for now. The process has been pretty easy and fast. I received my first set of aligners today. They fit perfectly and are cut to my gums.
