This company steals therapist profiles and leads clients to believe they can get in contact with their clinician via their website. They cannot. This is incredibly dangerous, and the company has been made aware by many people.

Company steals provider info without provider consent and redirects inquirers to other (often unlicensed) providers. Lots of legal suits against this company.

The listeners do not have any actual "training" outside of a quiz. I chatted with one "listener" who straight up said they had no training and anyone could become a "listener". This "listener" reported many of the users of the platform were very mean and it was not recommended as a safe space for anyone with any real mental issues. I dug deeper to find out the forums are not actually monitored and neither are the one-on-one chats. It's literally a free-for-all and not some place where people with real mental issues should be going to so-called "support". Avoid!!

I've heard terrible things about this company using therapists details without their consent to lure people in. It seems highly unethical to me and I wouldn't trust it from all I've heard from therapy colleagues.

Bait-N-Switch company - STAY FAR AWAY!!! Data-mines information from reputable therapists without their knowledge and then corrals you towards one of their "listeners." Exploitative, dishonest, greedy... not exactly the mothership of a where someone should go share their woes.

Seven cups steals therapists profiles and puts them on their site so that you will give them their info - it is a scam.

7 Cups practices bait and switch. They list therapists who are NOT AFFILIATED with them as bait. After hooking a sucker, they will switch you to a different therapist. Don't be a sucker. Don't do business with them. Avoid them because they are not ethical.

This company has lifted profiles from Psychology Today and pasted them on their site, often with some minor alterations to avoid copyright laws. When you use these listings you’re directed to providers other than the one you’ve selected - often out of your state. You’re much better off seeking help from legitimate sites like Psychology Today.
