Worldwide Wholesale Floor CoveringsReviews of worldwidefloors.com

The store sales associate and manager were interested in selling the carpet, but when issues arose, the installer and scheduler were helpful. Manager never followed up on my message. Very disappointed with service.

The carpet was short and they wanted to patch piece 3-4 pierces but even with that method was too short . There were no apologies . A staff of WW said she could not help me; she advised that I come back to the store and select a carpet in store. Only after asserting myself did WW do the right thing and got it installed. There was also a rebate for the wood flooring which had expired ; I found out by going to the manufacturer directly . I went to my salesman Jeff and he said there was nothing he could do . The matter was finally resolved after my writing a review of WW and on yelp . I thought this was a one off . After reading other reviews on WW, my experience seems typical . I would caution anyone from working with WW even though WW did eventual make good . The added stress of having to deal with all the issues on top of the normal stress of this home improvement is just not worth it . Certainly there are other carpet stores with better customer service . I gave 2 stars only because WW did credit me for my lost rebate offer and eventually got my carpet installed prior to the holiday .

I'm a contractor and I will make sure that all of my friends and costumers will never do anything business with Worldwide. They are only interested in selling the product with completion of orders for something as simple as purchasing a runners taking 4 weeks or more. Tiles are the same way. Worked with a costumer that ordered the simple tiles 3x6 inches and had to wait over 6 weeks to receive them with some unexpected changes that took another 3 weeks to straight it up. No communication at all. Everything was either manufacturer or supplier fault. Just bad overall experience.

I got hardwood installed from worldwide and there is a serious problem with the installation; lot of gaps between the wood and I reported this to install dept and yet to hear back

The sales process went fine however the install process was completely unacceptable. My installer showed up late for the install, he was unprepared and was unprofessional. Then the subsequent, still unresolved, customer service experience is terrible as well... I have a hallway, about 150 so ft, that I had completely prepped for the wood to be installed. The old floor had already been pulled up and ready to go. It took him two days to complete a job that should have been completed in one. Partly because he kept stopping his work to answer his cell phone, which rang numerous times. When he told me he wouldn't be able to finish the first day, I asked what time he would be back the next morning and how long did he think it would take to complete the job. He said he'd arrive between 8-9am and it would only take about 2-2 1/2 hrs. But didn't arrive until after 11am, no phone call or explanation. Then he had to leave( he was gone for an hour and a half) to go get tools to finish the job. It ended up tying up my entire weekend at the house while they completed a job that should have only taken 6 hrs. I even had to ask him to sweep up the sawdust and excess wood pieces from my garage where he cut the wood. To make matters worse, when I called to express my dissatisfaction with the job, I was told that the only way to lodge a complaint was to submit my experience on the company website and someone from the corporate office would be contacting me within 48 hours... I did that on Monday. It is Weds evening and I have yet to hear from anyone. I would not recommend this company to anyone and the ONLY reason I rated my experience a 2 instead of a 1 is because the sales associate was professional. Everything after that was completely unacceptable to me.

1.5 months between buying to installing. Huge mis communications. However good quality products and installation.

Upon entering worldwide we were approached by a sales man who was to assist us with hardwood flooring and a carpet. However at the same time he was writing an order for another customer and ignoring us. I understand the commission aspect of sales, but to double dip and keep one customer waiting while you close the deal with another is unacceptable.. They finally switched us to another salesman who gladly took our order. 300sqft of hardwood w/ install and old carpet removal and 216sqft of carpet installed. World wide was out to measure the rooms within 2 days and about a week later we received final estimates.. WOW. the carpet cost had gone from $400 installed to $800 installed. We were off on our initial room size by 6ft. The initial $400 quote was for 12x18 room and we needed 12x24.. so 6 more feet doubles the price.. BE WARE OF THIS! They call it a "special" I call it bait and switch. I asked if they could just charge the additional 6ft at the full price and give me the 12x18 at the special price.. the answer was NO you don't qualify... :( After a few days of back and fourth they finally agreed to meet us 1/2 way. As for the hardwood floor.. I understand that you need 10% more for waste but BE WARE they charge you labor on the waste!! So if you buy 342sqft of flooring for a 300sqft room you pay labor against 42sqft that is not even installed! Is this an industry practice? From what I read its up to the installer. Just note.. on the original quote, the square footage for the floor (materials) is 10% larger than the room size, but the labor footage is the same as the room size.. it was not until later when I received the final quote they upped the numbers, even the carpet removal went to 342sq feet (Hey how can you charge to remove carpet that does not exist?) !! So we have a date to install the floor.. Yeah! I took off work and moved all the furniture out of the room. Then we get a call at 5pm. the night before. oh.. sorry we messed up and we are just dropping the wood off tomorrow, it needs to sit in your house for a few days. We charge $80 for this, but because we messed up we will waive the fee. WHAT?? Don't you guys install floors for a living? How did you "mess" this up, oh and your not going to charge me the $80 fee that you never told me about anyhow.. how nice. Another week goes by and we have an install date for both the carpet and wood. The carpet installer shows up first and starts to remove the rug from the truck.. Hey buddy.. THAT'S THE WRONG RUG!! He's on his way back to the warehouse to get the right one, he may have to reschedule. Finally both jobs are complete! Overall is the carpet nice, YES. Does it look good, YES Same holds true for the flooring. It looks good and seems to be installed well. However throughout the sales process I felt like it was shady and scammy (I know not a word) World Wide can be more transparent with their sales tactics. I am just one customer with two orders, both had multiple issues that were aggravating and stressful. The company sells flooring all day every day, you think it would have been an easy experience. Would I shop there again? Probably not, but then again are any other flooring stores any better?

Terrible salesperson, very hard to deal with all employees there, from receptionist to installer. The product was good and we are happy with our carpet but I would rather buy it somewhere else where they treat the costumer better.
