VIOFO was built on a simple belief: a dash cam should feel like part of the car—not a bulky gadget—and it should stay reliable, delivering clear evidence when it matters most. At a time when the market was filled with bulky designs, unreliable batteries, and poor video quality, we stepped in to solve the problems others ignored. We moved beyond intrusive suction cups to create compact, discreet dash cams that blend seamlessly into your vehicle. We were among the first to introduce supercapacitor-based models, replacing traditional batteries for greater reliability and safety in extreme heat. And by continuously integrating advanced Sony sensors and HDR technology, we ensure drivers capture clear, dependable footage—day or night.
VIOFO (viofo.com) has 318 customer reviews on The Fair Hearing, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5.

Paying more than 200.00 this should come with the hardwire and the lens. I did not recieve the mounting clips. There are so many cords! I haven't had the opportunity to set it up. No details for the set up. Went to you tube to locate an installation process. I understand this is going to be a 5 star camera.

Viofo's customer service is friendly and knowledgeable. "Josie" is the rep who assisted me. I reported to her that I purchased a new car and needed a new adhesive strip to mount my dash camera on the (new car's) windshield. Her initial response directed me to their website where I could buy a new sticker (for $4.99!). After expressing my frustration that they would make me pay for a new sticker instead of sending me one at no cost, she told me they would make an exception, and she mailed me two stickers! I appreciated her taking extra steps to help me out. Honestly, I don't feel they should charge for a new sticker just because I changed cars; I would gladly have paid $1, but not $5. All in all, it was a good experience, and I appreciate what they did for me. Happy customer here!

Ordered the Viofo A229 Plus 2ch through AliExpress. Recording quality is excellent. Buttons are a little clunky but honestly you don't even need them. Front camera did not connect to power when we first got it but went through all checks with support and got a replacement sent through. Customer service had a turn-around email of approx 1 working day, and took 1 week for the replacement unit to go from China to home in Australia.

Dash cam works great. I realized it stopped working at some point but there were clear troubleshooting steps to resolve and support was helpful in sharing their suggested steps as well. A quick format of the sd-card with the new firmware loaded on it resolved an issue where it stopped turning on. This hiccup is the only reason for not giving it 5-stars.

Great support for Germany too. I was helped very quickly and very easily when I complained about the car charger. I was promptly sent a replacement. Great service. Great contact. I've only been using the A229 plus for a month, so I can't comment on long-term experience. but so far it's working fine.

I bought 2 A229 2ch Plus for my cars, and the video looks great! It sometimes struggles in darker lighting conditions, but that's to be expected. Good value for money, and the support is great. I broke a CPL filter during installation and they sent me a replacement for free.
