Our name has changed from Vintage HiFi Nut to Modern HiFi Nut to reflect a shift away from vintage gear restoration (due to challenges like finding reliable parts and long repair wait times) towards carefully curated new, high-performance audio components and accessories. We still offer the same experience, same products and same passion-driven service for customer satisfaction.

I appreciate the kind words and happy to help “elevate” those cables :)
Absolutely stellar first experience with Matt and Vintage HiFi Nut, and I’m now a customer for life. I had a motor issue with my turntable, and he was quick to respond, made himself available for a meeting, and took care of the service quickly and more than reasonably. I enjoyed doing business with him so much that I decided to upgrade my turntable with a model he had in stock, and he had the cartridge mounted & the table ready to go the next day. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable HiFi resource that can explain anything you want about equipment without talking down to you or making you feel inferior because you don’t have a $50,000 system, Matt’s your guy. 100% recommend

Super fast shipping and looking after what I needed as a buyer and not just shipping out product. They really care about their customers.

Matt is a true artist. He resurrected my vintage nakamichi tape deck with amazing attention to detail. I was fortunate to find him and his services, and HIGHLY recommend him to anyone wanting quality work at an extremely fair price.
