Shady company. Have been paying on the system for 6 months and it is not able to run. They never answer the phone, return emails or texts. What do we have to do? File a collective lawsuit. Looking into a lawyer because it's getting to be spring and I'm going to be paying for all my electricity and a loan on the solar panels that I can't use. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. the number listed on this review site doesn't even work. They offer a 30 year warranty, probably because it takes 30 years to get ahold of anyone. What happens when I have a problem with the system?? Won't be able to file a claim or anything because they don't answer the phone or respond to emails. Going to the news if this isn't resolved soon. Good luck getting business around here after that.

After more than a year I am still waiting for the system to be operational. Repeated calls and texts have not gotten them to finalize. In the mean time I have not benefited from the installation and am paying for it.

We signed a contract for a rooftop solar installation on November 10, 2023. The company was supposed to start the project no later than December 25, 2023. They were unable to obtain a permit from Cook County and cancelled the permit application. We had paid a 50% downpayment on November 10, 2023. The company promised to send a refund, but we have not received a refund. They do not return phone calls, texts, or emails. If we do reach a person they say we need another department or person and someone will get back to us. No one ever gets back to us and it is now February 24, 2024.

My husband decided it was a good idea to get solar panels. I didn't have a chance to investigate the company. ALWAYS investigate. This company installed our panels, they didn't work, told him that they would issue a check for our first installment payment with a credit union in another state. That was supposed to happen at the beginning of last month. I wouldn't use the company. Their lack of communication and fulfilling their words of making things right is severely lacking. NOW, our device that communicates with the panels needs to be reset every couple of days. Run away from this company. I am done playing nice. If we invest in your company and believe in you, then be honest. BBB will be involved after I am done typing this up.

I was very pleased with everything including installation and communication... until December. I have had a very hard time reaching anyone or getting anyone to return my voicemails/emails/texts. All we need is the Witness Fee to be paid and then everything will be good to go, but this has taken over 2 months and is beyond ridiculous. I want to love/use and recommend our solar, but we can't even get it turned on. 3/22 - Our solar is finally turned on. But I had to pay the witness fee to the Electric Company and finish the last little bit to change out the meter myself. I just wish I could recommend this to everyone, because now that its finally done, I'm very pleased.

I signed my contract with Revolution Solar in November 2022. I did not see any solar production until September 2023. Why? Because Revolution Solar deviated from the original plan approved by the City of Aurora, resulting in months of delays, then it took them additional months to upgrade my MPU, then ComEd wouldn't approve the solar system because the MPU was installed incorrectly. Now I am finding out that my Illinois Shines rebate check was paid to Revolution in October 2023 but was never sent to me. Contacted Illinois Shines program directly and was told, "As of February 2, 2024, Revolution Energy Systems (“Revolution”) has been suspended from Illinois Shines for a minimum period of six months for multiple reasons including extensive mishandling of Renewable Energy Credit (“REC”) payments, failure to comply with contractual obligations, misrepresentations to customers, and unfair business practices." Pretty much stating that Revolution Solar is "keeping" the rebate checks sent to them and not giving the consumer the rebate that they were told would "lower your monthly payment" when it was received and applied to the loan. I would NEVER recommend Revolution Solar to anyone looking for install solar on their home.

Revolution Solar was very good at first. They were communicative and began my project quickly. However, once they received the incremental payouts to bring my project to fruition they started to communicate less. Now, the only thing left is to connect my solar array to my home and they’ve ghosted me. At this point I would not recommend them to anyone.

We invested over $90,000 into our system. Everything was great for a while. Now that they are supposed to be forwarding over $17,000 back to us we cannot get them to answer calls nor call us back. They said it was usually within 90 days. We ate now about 14 months in. I have two panels with bullet holes, that at first they said it would be covered under the "awesome" warranty. Then they backtracked and said it would need to be covered by our insurance at over $2000 each. I am just needing answers.
