Terrible everything!!!!!!!!!! It’s a scam!!!!!

Predatory terms of service for their rental program. There are better and cheeper scooters available.

I previously owned a dual motor, 2000W Apollo scooter which was blazing fast but heavy and very large. This severely limited its portability, making it tough to use daily. The Unagi Voyager isn’t as fast, but its light weight and adequate speed and power make it perfect for a lot more situations. I am renting two of them so I can use them on the weekends with my wife, buddy, or older son which means I get more use out of them than I otherwise would during the week. They also fit in my car, whereas the Apollo was a struggle. I don’t mean to disparage Apollo scooters since they’re great as well, but the Voyagers are more portable given their lighter weight and smaller size. I also appreciate the service plan with the membership which gives me peace of mind.

When I first found out about Unagi, I was a little skeptical, but I decided to give it a try. That was well over a year ago, my Unagi and are still going strong, Unagi scooters are built to last and with a little due care I do believe my scooter will continue to get me back and forth a good long time!

I’ve done the monthly rental with Unagi for just over two years now - originally with the E500 then I upgraded to the Voyager. The initial appeal of the Unagi was its good design, its light weight, and the speedy service I used to get at their NYC SOHO store. Sure, there are down sides: lightweight means it sometimes feels flimsy - not the sturdiest ride. Small solid wheels and no shocks mean you’ll get some teeth-rattling rides on even mildly bumpy roads. But lightweight also means I can fold it up and carry it in the subway far more easily than any other scooter. But what I loved most (notice past tense) was that if I ever had a problem, I could pop into the soho store and they’d either repair or replace the scooter in minutes. No more. The company sent out a ludicrous email some time ago saying they were closing the soho store - and discontinuing telephone support - to improve their customer service. (Seriously, how dumb do they think we are?) Needless to say, their customer service went from 5 stars to 0 stars. Instead of getting an answer to a question in minutes, it took days. Instead of getting a scooter replacement in 10 minutes, it would take 3 weeks. (And the replacement scooter they delivered was more banged up than the one I sent back after nearly 700 miles.) So while I loved the scooter and the All-access program, their decision to make it impossible to speak with a customer support rep, or drop into a local shop has turned love to hate. Unagi wants to focus more on the All-Access renting/leasing concept than on sales. For that to succeed, they need to increase customer service- not cut it to the bone. I used to love to recommend Unagi to others. I can’t any longer.

Got into a relationship. Got matching Unagi’s. Dropped the man. Kept my Unagi. Unlike future men, I have no intention of getting rid of this incredibly valuable and dependable tool that has made my life so much easier.

So far My experience with The UNAGI VOYAGER has been very good. Their customer service department is second to none, any issue that I've had has been handled with the utmost professionalism, kindness and most importantly to me, with precision and speed. The turnaround for getting a brand new scooter was 3 days!! I highly recommend An ALL ACCESS UNAGI SUBSCRIPTION, it is the best solution that I've found to meet and exceed my families micro mobility needs, I have 3 son's in High School who absolutely love and cannot live without their Model One Voyagers. Seventy Dollars a month for the subscription is the best value that you will find out there, for the peace of mind that comes with it. I would give 6 Stars if I could.
