The updates were helpful and kept me focused and motivated. The results were fantastic, complete, well written. All the back up paperwork being supplied was a bonus and a surprise. I plan to do follow up with more ancesters.

Though the researcher was not able to definitively answer the key question, she provided much useful information that provides a basis for further research. The thoroughness was comforting. It was also extremely helpful that the researcher provided copies of all the source documents from which she reached her conclusions.

The process was communicated very well. The cost was fair considering all the family history that was found. The contact person was sensitive to the nature of the reasoning for using this service.

Thank you so much, Marylyn, for your kind words. We’re truly grateful you took the time to share your experience. It means a great deal to know that our communication was clear and that you felt supported throughout the process. We understand how personal and meaningful this journey can be, and we’re honored to have been part of it with you. Thank you again for trusting us with your family’s story. Warm Regards, Team Trace
The whole process went so smoothly. I was contacted by a case administrator, who learned more about my specific needs, and then found a researcher that specialized in eastern Canadian genealogy. The researcher did a ton of work, finding one and possibly two generations back, and names of significant places in the lives of my ancestors. The information was presented to me in a very detailed and easy to follow format, with a summary that included next steps for digging deeper. It was beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Trace to help one turn a family tree dead end into a new road of discovery!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that your experience with Trace was smooth from start to finish. Our case administrators (in-house professional genealogists) take great care in learning about each client’s goals and coordinating with members of our research team who specialize in the relevant regions, so we’re especially glad our Canadian genealogy specialist was able to help move your research forward. It’s wonderful to know the report was clear, detailed, and included helpful next steps for continuing your search. One of the most rewarding parts of our work is helping clients turn those frustrating “dead ends” into new paths of discovery. Thank you again for trusting Trace with your family history and for recommending us to others. We wish you the very best as you continue exploring your ancestors’ stories!
First, I was unable to immediately take the course after first paying for it. My opportunity to eventually take it we not time limited! It was more than a year later that I was able to complete the instruction. Second, the DNA Academy, Genetic Genealogy course was thorough, well explained and readily understandable. I want to take it again as a refresher because it is so valuable! I highly recommend it.

This course allowed me to continue at my own pace and learn a lot of really cool information about DNA genetic genealogy. It has been really helpful as a former family history student to refresh my memory as well as gain new knowledge about how DNA has changed the field of genealogy and family history.
