Unacceptable quality control and shocking customer service for loyal collectors
Every year for my son’s birthday, we have a tradition of buying Topps cards, spending over €1000 annually on their products. This year’s experience with the Topps Premier League 2026/27 Flagship Edition was an absolute disaster . Across the four tins (a total of 170 cards), we received over 60 duplicate cards, the quality control was terrible the backs of several cards were literally peeling and coming apart straight out of the tin. When I contacted customer service, I was met with generic, copy pasted responses. To get the damaged cards replaced, they expect me to pay for postage, risk sending them in the mail, and wait 14 to 16 weeks (nearly 4 months!) just for an inspection. When I explained how impractical this was and asked for a simple gesture of goodwill, they flatly refused. Topps is completely happy to take €1000 a year from a loyal family, but won't take responsibility or replace a clearly defective product without making the customer jump through months of administrative hoops. Our birthday tradition is ruined, and we won’t be spending another cent with Topps. Parents, beware of buying these tins.
