Toolmarts.comReviews of toolmarts.com

I ordered an 8ft Makita saw track. It arrived about five days after I placed the order and the packaging was the best I've ever seen. Items like this bought from other vendors would usually arrive in a cheap cardboard box. Thus item was packaged in a plywood framed box that guaranteed an undamaged delivery. I know they didn't manufacture the track, but if they are responsible for the packaging, they deserve two thumbs up.

I bought a dewalt tool box and after a week or so I never heard anything about shipping. So I had to contact them and they said that it was discontinued. On the website it says in stock and still does. They just list discontinued items and never update the website. Bad business.

Tried dealing with this company but had little success. I ordered a route bit which i needed for a project. I placed an online order which stated the item was in stock. I kept an eye on the order as i needed the router bit for a project i was working on. Ten days went by and the order had not been shipped. I called the office in San Diego and no one could find the order. They promised to call me back within the hour but never did, the next day i called them and after an hour of holding on they eventually found the order, it was apparently out of stock? Strange as online it stated in stock. I cancelled the order and was told i would receive a refund on my CC. In the mean time i ordered and received the item from Amazon. It took a further two weeks and i received the original router bit ordered from Toolmarts. So now i have two bits, one of which i do not need and obviously they never refunded me as they said they would. It took them a total of 8 weeks to locate and send out my order? I will never do business with this company again, be warned.

Garbage service. Customer service is impossible to get ahold of. They don't answer email, and nobody seems to be at their phone and everyone's voicemail box is full. Apparently two day shipping means "will not even look at order for two weeks." Waste of time.

Ordered a router bit on the 18th Dec 2016, received e-mail conformation within a few minutes so all looked good. The website states normal delivery is from 5-7 business days. Great !  Well, 10 days went by and I sent them an e-mail requesting a status update on the order, no reply. Sent them a second e-mail after a few days, no reply. Called them and was placed on hold for 20 minute then they hung up the phone. Wrote a letter to their CEO 8 days later  no reply. Then out of the blue I received an e-mail asking if I had received the order. It had not even been mailed yet they ask if I had received it? The most unprofessional company I have ever had the misfortune to work with. They should look to Amazon who set the standard for online shopping. You have been warned!! 04- 20-2025 Update! Unbelievably today I received an e-mail from Trustpilot stating Toolmarts had requested more information about this review. Can you believe it ? It's only been 8+ years since I posted the review and they are now just get around to addressing it. HaHa ! goes to show how attentive and concerned this company is. ( I have heard nothing from them since sending all the info they requested, what a surprise )

Awful. Took 10 days to ship my small and simple order, never responded to emails or calls. Charged my card extremely fast though.

I own a medium-sized woodworking shop in Oakland, California where I have got 13 other guys working with me. In November we found ourselves in need of jointers and I looked them up (we were planning to buy two Delta 37-071 bench jointers and a Festool DF 700 joiner) online when the name of Toolmarts popped up with quite good prices. Naturally I was tempted and clicked through to their website where pleasant design surprised me a bit as usually design is not the strong suite for most of the power tool websites. Fortunately, they had both machines in stock so I decided to go through with my order and placing the order was pretty much like any other website. I received the confirmation through email and both the machines were delivered via USPS within 4 days. Packaging was all nice and secure. I checked the items and found out that all was well with Delta jointers but they sent us a wrong joiner (Festool 574447 Domino XL DF 700) which was more expensive than the one we ordered i.e. Festool 574422 Domino XL DF 700. I was a bit disappointed with the mishap so I called the customer service where they cooperated with me and immediately took the responsibility of the error and offered an apology right away with the instructions to send the mistakenly delivered item back. They paid for the return shipping and replaced the model 574447 with 574422 in two days. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the shopping experience as it is hard to find companies these days that really care for their customers. I would definitely shop with Toolmarts again and would recommend them to anyone because of the prices and service.

Bought a DeWalt driver at a great price and service was smooth and quick.
