TherapyNotes customer service reply very quickly, clearly, and made me feel as though my feedback was valuable. I have submitted feedback once or twice before and I have always received a rapid and courteous reply. The TherapyNotes software is easy to use and makes writing notes and other documentation simple.

This is my first (and will be the only) venture into EHR... I am 100% satisfied with the company. They excel in customer service, providing live help at extended hours, no matter if it is learning the ropes of the software, billing help, credit card processing or helping me correct some mess I made. Then they email you a summary of the call with instructions for that problem should you need to reference back. I was reluctant to pick them because telehealth was still in beta testing, but the live customer service cinched it. Now, 9 months later, not only is telehealth operational, but it’s included in the price. Last evening, I chanced a call to find out why one of those annoying paper credit cards wasn’t processing on CardPointe...I left a message as it was after hours. I was pleasantly shocked when I received a call before bedtime to walk me through the solution. Happy sleeper! TN has a lot to learn and I’m no tech nerd, so I’ve taken baby steps...the note taking was first, while I used old ERA/ EFT system. Then the portal for clients to choose appointments(works great!) and send documents. Since the first of year, I am using them for billing...on that learning curve now and can report back later. I would also consider their billing company if you hate doing that. They collect after you get paid and generate reports, etc. Perfect 10!

"Our practices would prefer to manage the relationship with their clients." This client would prefer to manage her own financial information on your site herself and does not care what a practice may prefer! I don't understand why this is so hard for you to understand. Your site stores the financial information. You are responsible for it. I highly doubt you are able to secure the data given the recent SolarWinds breech. I doubt you even know if your site is hosted by a compromised cloud provider. "We do have some ideas to add a feature allowing patients to enter one-off payments on the portal that doesn't require a card to be stored for future charges. But there is no way for you to push cash into a digital portal that I can think of. We are considering adding eChecks features in the future." This is a great idea! I understand you cannot take cash. Per TrustPilots website, "Trustpilot is here to help you shape and improve the world. We do it by giving you a powerful, open-to-all review platform where you can share and discover experiences, and connect with businesses to help them improve." Note TrustPilot states open-to-all. I'm sorry you feel the review is unfair. I believe that not giving any support or consideration to the ultimate consumer of your product, the consumer who pays your bills, is also unfair. Your phone agents will not support patients leaving me no choice but to get your attention via a public forum. I am a patient but that does not change my concern. I have since found out that a patient has no control over their own credit card (cannot change or delete) information once entered. The only was to change or delete is to ask the clinician to allow it. Legitimate medical portals do allow the patient to control their information. Let me know how to reach out to you directly per your response to my original review and I will be happy to discuss with you. TherapyNotes should provide a way for clients to pay with check or cash as well as authorize all credit card transactions individually. Holding a client credit card with an agreement that the therapist can charge with no notice invites abuse. Not allowing payment by cash or check is a discriminatory practice which is becoming outlawed in some states.

Hi Chris, we don't require you to put a credit card anywhere, and it's unclear why you feel that is the case. If the practice does not accept cash or checks, you should express your concerns with them on their business practice. TherapyNotes certainly has a way for the practice to enter cash or checks into the software. It is the practice's responsibility to provide end user support to their clients/patients. We support tens of thousands of practices, who in turn support millions of patients. Our practices would prefer to manage the relationship with their clients. We do have some ideas to add a feature allowing patients to enter one-off payments on the portal that doesn't require a card to be stored for future charges. But there is no way for you to push cash into a digital portal that I can think of. We are considering adding eChecks features in the future. -- Update 2/18/21 per addition feedback -- We don't store your credit card number. When you enter your credit card into the portal it is sent to the credit card company directly from your web browser for validation and then they send us a token we use for any charges. That token only works between you and the practice, so if it was compromised it would be useless to a hacker. Our servers actually never even see your full credit card number, much less store it. (We get and store the last 4 digits and the expiration date). That being said, if you are uncomfortable with using a credit card, then please don't provide it. We go through great lengths to ensure all data is protected.
The staff at therapynotes are all very helpful. I have been using for a year always get the support I need.
