Terrible piece of equipment and very pricey for something that doesn’t work. I can’t watch any national networks at all. The online help was not any help at all and I finally hung up. The AI I chatted with said she’d send me simple directions on email. She never did. I can’t watch TV at all. It won’t even deliver PBS without glitching and buffering. What a waste of money!! I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

New 4th generation. Slow to load. Does not record what I set, instead records only part of shows. Customer service is not real. It's a bunch of idiots pretending to be knowledgeable, but don't understand the POS. cheaper to stream or buy another Tivo.

I am so sick and tired of seeing that stupid spinning blue circle and clicking "Back." The service is terrible. Definitely not worth the aggravation. The only reason I purchased Tablo was for the record, pause, rewind and fast forward features - none of them work. You're better off subscribing to Hula (ABC), Paramount (CBS), and Peacock (NBC) and using the damn antenna you bought for Tablo for local TV broadcast. I don't recommend it and feel ripped off.

I was been on the phone with support about our 3 year old Tablo just quitting. The problems started mid-December when it would just disconnect. I would restart the Roku, AT&T router and the button on the back of the Tablo. On Dec 28th, it just quit completely. I unplugged it, switched the antenna cable, tried a different port on my router, replaced the Ethernet cable & took out the memory drive. I even did a factory reset. All to no avail. All that happens is the blue light just keeps Flashing & never turning Solid blue. And the Ethernet light flashes instead of a steady on like it has always done. Could a bad Ethernet port on the Tablo be the problem? We have 4 TVs that connect over WiFi and 1 connected to a Roku box via Ethernet cable. There are never more than 2 TVs going at any given time. All other streaming applications through Roku work perfectly. During the phone call to support, the lady kept interrupting me and saying it was my internet server's fault. She kept saying my unit is outdated and kept trying to sell me a NEW 4th Generation! This unit is only 3 YEARS OLD! Then I got a generic email that didn't help at all. Weird thing is, on the forum another man is having the same issues with his Legacy in the same time! Hmmm?

I have been dealing with audio video technology since the late 70s. Tablo is by far the biggest pos I have ever delt with. Connection timeouts, recordings lost while watching a recording, app lockups. DO NOT BUY!

My first tablo gen 4 failed after 7 months and was replaced wih in 3days,great service. Reinstalled new tablo and would not connect to my tv, after working with several techs some terrible, good and great the secrets is keep trying because they corrected the problem.

Tablo 4th generation stopped working after Roku updated software to 14.04. I have attempted to resolve with Tablo customer service for the last two months, with no answers except their suggestion that I buy another streaming device to use instead, Totally unacceptable!

Re: Tablo Gen4 — The set up was smooth at first. They said it works with Roku which I have. It does NOT and the customer “service” woman cut me off as I was explaining to tell me Roku’s latest OS is incompatible. I tried it with my Chromecast to no avail. Another Customer service rep. told me my Chromecast was too old. My Roku is too new and my Chromecast is too old! 😠 She told me to buy an Onn streaming stick from Walmart. It has trouble opening the app and lacks the replay control I bought the Tablo for. The interface is awkward and annoying to use, when it works. Tablo gen 4 is a good idea that isn’t ready for prime time. Update 3 days later: I got the unit working (I thought) by leaving it disconnected overnight. The app even launched in a reasonable amount of time without the spinning wheel of progress. It worked smoothly until I wanted to go to the on screen channel guide. I found no way of bringing it up. I called Tablo support again for help. The woman kept telling me to select options not available. She then told me they weren’t really trained on that. Wow! 🤯 A buggy product with untrained tech support. They said I can send it back at my cost. I shouldn’t have to pay shipping to return a product that has never worked correctly. It also randomly displays an “unknown error” message over the show.
