Thank you for sharing your feedback. We completely understand how disappointing and frustrating it can be to have your music taken down from digital platforms. In recent months, DSPs have significantly increased their compliance requirements—particularly in areas related to music rights management, global copyright enforcement, and the prevention of artificial streaming. This was not a decision made by our company, but rather the result of editorial preferences set by global digital service providers. At Sugo, we proudly represent all styles and genres of music. As an artist-centric company, we are committed to supporting our rights holders and always strive to act in their best interest. Like all music distributors, we are required to follow these evolving standards and ensure that all content meets the legal and platform-specific guidelines needed to protect your rights and those of other creators. DSPs occasionally err in their assessment of rights ownership, and we understand that artists may choose to explore alternative distribution options when this occurs. We also see that your contract was formally terminated in May 2025, and your final royalty statement and payment are scheduled to be remitted during the upcoming Q3 royalty cycle, in accordance with our regular reporting schedule. We appreciate your understanding as the industry continues to shift, and we remain focused on ensuring compliance and fairness for all music rights holders.

We understand how frustrating and disappointing it can be to see your music removed from digital platforms. Over the past year, DSPs have tightened their compliance policies—particularly in areas involving music rights verification, global copyright enforcement, and the detection of artificial streaming. This action was not initiated by our company, but rather stems from editorial policies and enforcement measures implemented by global digital service providers. At Sugo, we support a wide range of musical styles and genres. As an artist-focused distributor, we are dedicated to serving our rights holders and consistently aim to act in their best interest. As with all distributors, we must comply with these evolving standards and ensure that all content adheres to platform-specific and legal requirements—safeguarding the rights of all parties involved. While DSPs may occasionally misidentify ownership details, we recognize that artists may seek other distribution paths when this happens. Our records indicate that your distribution agreement dated April 2024 was terminated in May 2025. Your final royalty statement and payment are scheduled for release in the upcoming Q3/2025 royalty cycle, per our standard reporting process. Thank you for your understanding as the industry continues to evolve. We remain committed to maintaining integrity and fairness for all music rights holders.

We understand how discouraging it can be to have your music removed from digital platforms, especially given the time and energy involved in preparing a release. Over the past year, digital service providers have expanded and enforced stricter compliance and editorial policies—particularly in areas such as rights validation, copyright enforcement, and the monitoring of artificial streaming activity. This decision was not made by our company, but rather reflects the enforcement actions and editorial discretion of global DSPs. At Sugo, we proudly support all musical styles and genres. As an artist-centric distributor, our priority is to serve our rights holders with transparency and care. As with all distributors, we are required to adhere to evolving industry standards and platform requirements to protect the rights of all involved. While DSPs may occasionally misattribute rights ownership, we understand that some artists may consider alternative distribution avenues when this occurs. Our records indicate that your agreement dated December 2022 was formally terminated in May 2025. Your final royalty statement and payment are scheduled for the Q3/2025 royalty cycle, in accordance with our standard reporting timeline. We appreciate your understanding as the industry continues to change. Our commitment remains to fairness, accuracy, and compliance on behalf of all rights holders.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify several points about Sugo Music Group’s current distribution, UGC, and music publishing terms. Music Distribution and UGC: Rights holders retain 100% ownership of their master recordings. Under Sugo’s current standard Music Distribution Agreement, rights holders receive 80% of the revenue received by Sugo from the distribution, licensing, and monetization of their recordings, including applicable UGC and social-media uses administered under the agreement. Sugo retains 20%. There are no upfront setup fees, annual subscription fees, or submission fees. Music Publishing: Publishing royalties and distribution royalties are separate and should not be confused. Under Sugo’s current Music Publishing Agreement, songwriters retain ownership of their musical compositions and receive 100% of their Writer’s Share. Sugo administers the publishing rights covered by the agreement and receives the Publisher’s Share. The Writer’s Share and Publisher’s Share are separate components of publishing income, so describing this simply as Sugo “taking 50%” does not accurately explain how the agreement is structured. Promotion and Distribution: Music distribution and music promotion are also separate services. Distribution makes recordings available through digital music services and other authorized platforms, while artist marketing, promotion, and audience development are separate activities. Sugo Music Group publishes its current Distribution and Publishing Agreements on our website so artists, songwriters, labels, and rights holders can review the applicable ownership, revenue-share, publishing, licensing, and other terms before entering into an agreement. We appreciate your feedback and remain committed to transparent agreements, accurate royalty reporting, and professional service for our rights holders.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to respond. We understand how important timely distribution is to artists. In this case, your submitted songs were flagged during our quality control review due to concerns about AI-generated vocals and production elements. As global digital service providers continue to tighten their content policies, many have become increasingly cautious about distributing AI-generated music—often resulting in delays or rejections during onboarding. These are platform-level decisions and are beyond our control. Regarding the agreement, our records show that you accepted the terms of a non-exclusive distribution agreement, which allows rights holders to release their music with any distributor or DSP. That said, we respect your decision to discontinue, and your account has since been closed, with no content distributed and no royalties accrued. Sugo Music Group remains committed to transparency, artist support, and ethical distribution practices. We proudly work with artists across all genres and backgrounds, and we take all feedback seriously as part of our ongoing efforts to improve service and communication.

We recognize how challenging the current distribution landscape can be for artists. Over the past year, digital service providers have significantly tightened their compliance and editorial policies—particularly in areas such as rights validation, copyright enforcement, the usage of unlicensed beats and samples, the usage of AI in producing audio files, and the detection of artificial streaming. These actions were not initiated by our company but reflect enforcement decisions made by global DSPs. While DSPs may occasionally misattribute rights ownership, we understand that some artists may choose to explore alternative distribution options as a result. Although we do submit music for sync licensing opportunities, it’s important to note that this is a highly competitive space, and placements are not guaranteed. As an artist-centric distributor and publisher, we remain committed to supporting music rights holders through transparency, fairness, and adherence to industry standards. We appreciate your understanding as the digital landscape continues to evolve and remain dedicated to upholding accuracy and compliance on behalf of all our partners.

We’re sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your music distribution experience. We recognize how challenging the current distribution landscape can be for artists. Over the past year, digital service providers have significantly tightened their compliance and editorial policies—particularly in areas such as rights validation, copyright enforcement, the use of unlicensed beats and samples—and especially the usage of AI-generated audio. These measures were not initiated by our company but reflect enforcement decisions made by global DSPs. While DSPs may occasionally misattribute rights ownership, we understand that some artists may choose to explore alternative distribution options as a result. In reference to sync licensing, Meta distribution, and promotions, we do submit music for sync licensing opportunities, and it’s important to note that this is a highly competitive area, and placements are not guaranteed. Additionally, some platforms—such as Meta’s social media services (e.g., Facebook and Instagram)—maintain editorial control over what music is accepted on their platforms, and may choose not to support certain content at their discretion. As an artist-centric distributor and publisher, we remain committed to transparency, fairness, and compliance with evolving industry standards. We appreciate your understanding as DSPs continue to implement new requirements for music rights holders
