One of the Worst Retail Experiences I’ve Had in Years — Best Buy Has Lost My Business ⭐ ONE STAR — AND THAT’S ONE TOO MANY. I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a retail experience this bad. Best Buy has turned what should have been a simple television purchase into an absolute nightmare of misinformation, wasted time, broken promises, and terrible customer service. It started in the store when I was considering purchasing an LG B6E television. Before making my final decision, I specifically asked to see the remote that came with the TV. The LG representative, John, didn’t have the correct remote available and had to go searching elsewhere in the store. What he brought back was NOT the remote that actually came with my television. Think about that. I’m trying to make an informed purchasing decision, and I can’t even get an accurate demonstration of what I’m buying. Customers should not have to wonder whether the information they’re receiving from a sales representative is accurate. I spoke with management, and they gave me another remote to try at home. I then spent OVER FOUR HOURS trying to get it to work. Four hours! Eventually, Best Buy offered to send a technician to my house, but I would have to pay for the service call. Excuse me? Why should I pay out of my own pocket to get a remote working when the problem started with the sales experience at your own store? I had enough and called to say I no longer wanted the television. You would think returning a television would be a straightforward process. Apparently, that’s too much to expect from Best Buy. They scheduled a pickup for Monday between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. The TV was not picked up. Worse, I received a notice claiming someone had knocked on my door and I wasn’t home. I was told there had been a communication error on their end. So now I’m wasting my time waiting around for a company that can’t even get its own appointment information straight. I called again Tuesday and arranged another pickup for Wednesday. They assured me they would come. Once again, they failed to pick up the television and sent me a text apologizing for the inconvenience and saying they couldn’t get to me that day. An apology text doesn’t give me back my time. It doesn’t fix the original problem. And it certainly doesn’t make up for two missed appointments. Now I’m left chasing Best Buy, making repeated calls, rearranging my schedule, and trying to get a company to follow through on its own commitments. The amount of time and aggravation this has caused is ridiculous. Let me be clear: I don’t care where a company’s call center is located. I care whether the company tells the truth, communicates properly, and keeps its promises. In my experience, Best Buy has failed on all three. The worst part is that this entire situation could have been avoided with accurate information and competent customer service from the beginning. I was ready to buy a television. Instead, I got hours of frustration and a return process that has been just as bad as the original purchase experience. I’m still trying to get this resolved, and I have lost confidence in Best Buy’s ability to handle even the most basic customer service responsibilities. Best Buy, customers work hard for their money. We deserve honesty, respect, and a company that stands behind what it sells. We should not have to spend hours fixing a problem we didn’t create and then repeatedly chase you to collect the product we’re trying to return. My advice to anyone considering buying from Best Buy: verify everything before you pay, and don’t assume that if something goes wrong, the company will make it right. This has been one of the worst retail experiences I’ve had in years. I have no desire to do business with Best Buy again. You haven’t just lost a television sale. You’ve lost my trust and my future business.

I bought a Samsung tv. My condo has a strict rule about deliveries occurring only between 8:30am and 4:30pm. I called Best Buy in advance to ask for a slot that matched this requirement. I even called up again to verify they had a record of my request. However, the assigned slot was mostly outside the required hours. I called customer service to protest and was told there was nothing that could be done. I asked to speak to a manager and was given a case number and was told I would receive a call by the end of the day. Still no resolution. Terrible, terrible service!

Ordered a cooktop and a double wall oven for my poor wife who has been dealing with crappy ones for almost 18 years. Was excited to do it for her and ordered it on 9/22, the soonest they said they could install it was 10/5. They sent me a message on 10/2 (Friday) saying that the installation would have to be re-scheduled. Didn't state a reason. So I go on the website and the soonest they could re-schedule is 10/28!! That was way too long so I spoke to an agent with a strong foreign accent who I couldn't understand and he got frustrated with me over my inability to understand him and was a little rude. Finally, after several attempts I understood that Best Buy had not yet received the cooktop. But what was really frustrating is the length of additional time I had to wait for an appointment. I cancelled the order and found it at another store for about $400 less but Best Buy now says it takes 7-10 days to get a refund!!!! Very frustrating and disappointing.

Bad delivery. I was told my delivery would be from 7 a.m., to 7 p.m, but would be given a delivery time frame and a call 30 minutes before arrival. I received neither. I left at 7:01 to cancel the order.

I bought a Whirlpool front load washer. The price was good. I wanted to send a shout out to the two delivery drivers, Alejandro and Joel. They were the best, I wish there was a star 6 or 7 more than "excellent". These two young men were so help and I can't thank them evough.

September 2, placed an online order to pickup at the store. Email gave an estimated date of September 9. Waited all day for the email stating order ready to pickup. Received an email at the end of the day saying order is delayed and they are working to get it to me in the next couple of days. The following day, I decided to cancel the order, so I called and their AI told me the order has already been canceled and a refund issued. I was sent a text by their AI,with a link to show order details. I clicked on the link and it stated my order is delayed and they are working to get it to me in the next few days. I called again and was able to get by AI and reached a live person. I said I wanted to cancel the order. I was told I couldn't since the item shipped. I was notified later the item was ready for pickup. I had already purchased an item from a different store since it was uncertain the status of the order. I found in the details a way to cancel the order. A refund was issued. Don't recommend doing business with Best Buy online ordering. Left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing.

I wanted to ask a question about a product in the store - but could only speak to a phone ai that got confused and stopped responding -terrible - The ai chatbox online also could not even communicate -It could only respond to a limited list of questions they hoped you were going to ask - If you aren't asking those questions they wont help - I wold never buy anything from Best Buy after this terrible experience. I can only imagine what would happen after you bought a product andneededelp.

My wife and I had been shopping for a washer dryer set and found one on sale at Best Buy. No salesperson would come to appliances when called. We waited 10 minutes then went to greeter and told him we were ready to buy and needed assistance. 10 minutes later a salesperson walked by and I told him we were paying with cash and just needed to check out and arrange delivery. 15 minutes later greeter had returned to check if we had been helped. He was very apologetic and frantically asked manager to please find someone to accept payment, etc. Waited 5 more minutes and told the greeter we were leaving- he said he would leave too… If salesperson hasn’t met $1000 per hour target and it was a good time for them they would gladly help you. Other than that they have no interest whatsoever in assuring customers are taken care of. They also have very limited knowledge of products for sale. The most important thing is to talk a computer buyer into purchasing highest level of extended warranty and support that costs $192 a year. I hate their shitty attitude that is only interested in a customer if it benefits them.
