SHHHOWERCAP® is an established, industry-leading e-commerce brand operating at scale, fulfilling hundreds of thousands of orders. With that volume, occasional operational issues can occur under normal circumstances. What is not normal is the inaccurate and misleading narrative currently reflected on our Trustpilot page.The current reviews do not reflect our business, our ethics, or our 10-year track record. They are the result of a documented competitive attack.We have been actively working with Trustpilot to address this ongoing reputational harm. However, the platform’s response has been insufficient. The same gaps in policy and enforcement that allowed this exploitation to occur continue to allow it to persist.As a result, the original harm is being extended — long after the underlying issue has been resolved.While we are shipping orders on time and fulfilling all customer obligations, the false narrative has created unnecessary customer concern. This has led to increased sensitivity around routine shipping variables, escalated interactions for our Care team, and additional operational strain as we manually review patterns of inauthentic activity across platforms.This is not a reflection of our business. It is a consequence of platform failure.The continued visibility of inaccurate and manipulated reviews is materially harming our company and misrepresenting who we are.It also impacts customers directly — creating confusion and undermining trust where it should not.We have been in business for a decade. Avoid this company and product

I placed my original order in Sept 2023, got the order confirmation email, and tried following up in December and again in January after receiving nothing. After reaching out via email & their online bot several times with no response, I tried posting on Twitter/X to the company handle. A few hours later, I got a phone call, which I initially declined because it was marked as potential spam. After they called 3 more times back-to-back, I answered, and someone claming to be with Shhhowercap said I'd been referred by their "social media team" after posting my complaint. NO IDEA how they got my phone number. This man continues on to "check my order number", and claims that they ran out of the manufacturing materials because the RARE SEAL they were using went extinct, but they'd switched over to a a different type of WHALE SKIN, and that he could call down to the "kill floor" to check when they'd be killing the whale for my shower cap. I hung up immediately, and upon further research discovered many, many people with similar stories of unfulfilled orders. To make it worse, my 9 year old child heard this call and believed that they were killing whales and seals to make shower caps, and is still talking about how disturbing the call was. The phone number I received the call from is the same number listed on the BBB page for the business. I've filed a report there. I've received a shower cap in April, with no further contact from the company. The item I received is not the same item I ordered, and the quality is much lower than my original purchase with them years ago. The whole thing is so weird, I wish I was making it up. I will never again purchase from this company and hope that other people can avoid this negative experience and purchase from more reliable and reputable businesses.

Hi, Emily! This is a wild review for many reasons! First, we have no men that work on our Customer Care team and second we certainly do not kill WHALES or ANY ANIMALS to make our patented SHHHOWERCAPs! This is just one of the many incredible stories we're hearing as we navigate this madness. lol. What!? Also, our continued outreach for Customer Care and satisfaction - to be honest, sounds like that person who contacted you has nothing to do with us. We'd be curious to know what number it came from so we can look into it.
