With 30 years of experience, we are well versed in the most efficient and cost-effective transportation methods. We understand how stressful it may be moving, let alone moving to another country where customs, language and mentalities may differ to those we are accustomed to. Hence, our number one priority are our clients and providing the most seamless and stress-free experience while your possessions are in our possession. We have learned from experience that not everything may go as perfect as we intend, however, communicating with our clients and keeping you updated is a major key to a successful move. We like to consider ourselves a “concierge style” service. We respond to clients’ emails within an hour or less of receipt and always answer our phones. We provide consulting pertaining to destination customs requirements to ensure you are aware of your document responsibilities abroad. We only align ourselves with quality partners door to door well versed in providing the highest quality of packing services to insure your goods arrive in the condition they have left your hands. We ensure the smoothest clearance process and expedited delivery to avoid additional port and storage charges. Since ocean freight transportation has experienced delays and last-minute schedule changes in the last 18 months due to “global supply chain shortages”, we offer very competitive air freight options as well which allows you to receive more urgent packages within 3-7 days of shipping. Ruby International Consultants is fully insured, licensed, and bonded with the Federal Maritime Commission and the US DOT and has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Very good experience. Eric was great to start with, then Helen took over and was very easy to work with. Both communicated very regularly. Price was fair. Delivery happened even quicker than anticipated. No issues, all in one piece. I couldn't be happier.

I have updated my review to 3 stars as I received all my items and so far have not had any issues (not everything has been turned on yet etc) Previous review: Note: After posting this review I received a call from this company saying they were going to give me a discount until they read I left them a bad review and demanding immediate invoice payment on the following Friday or I would be charged a late fee (no late fees are listed on the terms and conditions and I was within my payment due period) as a response. They openly said it was because they didnt agree with this review. They also threatened me that “slandering is a violation and at this company we do not take it lightly” So far my family and I have not received our items but have received a bill for close to 2000 more than what we were originally quoted (125 extra of this is paperwork and 553 was insurance which was fine) I had them check our items across cubic footage twice to ensure we didn’t go over. Even after checking I did remove two large items from those planned to ship (very large dresser and a king mattress). We are a family of 4 and strict budget so we asked lots of questions. I had to add back a mattress in a box (had removed the mattress originally quoted) as I found we cannot get king mattresses here. Helen seemed very accommodating and encouraged me to remember to add sheets and covers but not too soon 2-3 days of the pickup before or after. I ordered them within 2 days of pickup on Amazon as the mattress arrived early so I didn’t want to inconvenience the company. I offered to send overnight and was told all was fine. Was also told all was fine with my pickup location when assessed. They billed me close to 1000 more saying it was 58 over and 20cf of that was for the 3 small items in the Amazon order (sheets mattress cover and duvet). They charged $150 extra for the location of pickup even though we had asked if this location would work or we should change. They also added extra charges for accepting the Amazon items (75.00) - items I was encouraged to send. Overall I feel they purposely misrepresented all they could to get our business and then charged whatever they figured they could get away with. Helen went from nice and helpful to rude and gaslighting when questioned about the extra charges and lack of transparency and communication beforehand. We felt really misled and taken advantage of and the response we received from the company was not considerate but gave the impression they do this often. It leads me to question whether the reviews on here are valid. Overall if you are like me on a careful budget I wouldn’t work with them. This has greatly impacted my family and I to have to accomodate this extra cost.

Thank you for your review. In addition to the very detailed documentation you received and signed pertaining to volume and access (before shipping) informing you the final measured volume is calculated based on the gross measured volume once packed, consolidated, and measured as well as the 30 minute phone conversation you just had with our office a short while ago explaining everything in detail, following is the breakdown of your additional charges (which is not $2,000.00 for 53 CF): Your shipment has been measured as follows: Piece, 53”x53”x87”: 142 CF Piece, 60”x66”x92”: 211 CF Total gross measured volume is: 353 CF (53 CF over 300 CF is $768.50). This additional volume includes 3 boxes that you ordered and delivered by Amazon and Avocado which were not included in the original volume (estimated at 20 CF additional). In addition to the cost of the 53 CF over you have, you had $125.00 documentation per proposal. In addition to the cost, you insured your shipment for $15,800.00 which costs $553.00 per proposal. In addition to the cost, you had a long carrier at your storage which costs $150.00 (150 ft. long carry) per proposal. In addition, there is a charge for $75.00 to receive 3 boxes. No one encouraged you to order on Amazon. You asked if you could order and have the boxes delivered and the answer was yes. We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction due to your higher volume shipped. Best moving experience we’ve ever had. Excellent communication at any time. This company goes the extra mile for their customers. Like clock work - on time - respectful and excellent partners in Germany as well. Not a single piece damaged or broken.

Everyone we contacted was helpful, patient and professional. My equipment was shipped from Albuquerque, NM to Mexico and not only arrived in perfect condition but three days earlier than predicted. I highly recommend this company.
