Rover is the absolute best one-stop site for finding dog sitters who genuinely care about dogs. I have used Rover for years, in both Maryland and Pennsylvania, and I was impressed at how easy it is to find and book sitters I can trust, Rover vets all sitters, but what I value most is that I can read reviews of them by local people who have firsthand experience with the sitter I am considering. Bookings, payments, and (optional) tips are handled right online. On the most recent visit, my dog was so thrilled to see Heather, our wonderful sitter, that he didn’t even turn around to watch us drive away. Sitters set their own prices and set their own rules, such as whether dogs may get on furniture. It is easy to filter sitter listings by whatever is important to you—in our case, a fenced yard and someone comfortable with large dogs.
