I find this system easy to use and a great improvement over our last system. Onboarding was easy and they helped every step of the way.

The only thing I have to say is that if they were more prepared for what the consumer would ask, then it wouldn't be a problem. Also if they wouldn't have to run in a circle to get a simple answer then it would be 10x's better!

It has been a very daunting task to upgrade to a feature rich POS system. There is a lot of information available at your fingertips. It does take a good bit of time to set up. Service has been very responsive and very helpful in the process. The more you put in it with your time and effort to get it set up, the better it will give you what you need, the better the experience will be. It has so many custom options to set up that I believe it would be a great asset for any retail type operation. I am in the swimming pool business and I have found ways to get it to do anything I need it too. The four stars is only because I am a little disappointed in the "integration with QB" that is advertised. It doesn't load all the information in QB. It does have the capability to load total daily sales including COG, employee hours for payroll and other journal entries. That really is all you need added to QB I suppose, but not as much as I expected. Can't say enough about how good the service after the sale has been. Very helpful customer service and onboarding team!

The technician could have asked me early in the problem resolution whether I really needed to print the 12-digit barcodes or whether the 5-digit self-assigned barcodes were the only ones required. (The 12-digit barcodes from the manufacturer just won't squeeze onto 1-inch labels.)

I own a craft beer bottle shop and tap room. In order to load a keg of beer so that it's priced properly, not even loaded in into inventory, takes roughly 8 steps. Taking it a step further, I have not been able to figure out load the ounces of beer into the system in such a way that links to sales (which are sold by the oz) to know when a keg is running low. We should be able to pull a report that shows, based on how many oz we've sold, how many oz are left. And it shouldn't take a dozen more steps, modifiers, recipes, etc.

They rolled out an outstanding system but we are their test pilots. Great 24 hour support but the people you chat with have little to no understanding as to how it applies to business. Frequently after a 20 minute conversation you will be escalated to the next level. Prepare to be on the phone for 30 minutes before you get the attention that you need, icky. My book keeper has spent almost 80 hours trying to get the information to upload to quick books, costing me thousands of dollars. If I had it to do over I would purchase a simpler system. We've been live since the first week in February and we have 6-8 open tickets all the time, its ridiculous. They sold me a system without the zebra printer, add another $500.00 even though we requested it in the beginning. They sold me a system that is not compliant to California state law, no visual display for customers add another $500.00. I can not at this time recommend this to anyone. Im in the process of interviewing so that I can have someone work my shifts so I can figure this pig out! $3,000.00 in product and $2,500.00 to my book keeper and another $250.00 to a Quickbooks Master to help her. Yikes, I equate this to a 1971 Vega. Argh!

Hi Marsha, Thank you for the feedback. If I'm following your account correctly, it looks like your original sale was done through one of our partner programs with Intuit. And, yes, the printer and the customer-facing display are both sales that could have been handled in that initial sale. While customer-facing display laws are relatively new for most states, as this technology is developing rapidly, I am happy to follow up with our partners regarding California's POS laws. If you need further information regarding customer-facing displays, I believe the State of California website has information for business owners available. In terms of your experience with Revel support, I will be reaching out to you via email to set up a time to discuss. We are in the process of opening a US-based support center that will create a more efficient experience for our customers. With any highly customizable point-of-sale system, there can be a bit of time setting it up and getting accustomed to new processes, of course. I am so happy to be able to get very clear reports on all of the things that make a business work. The ease at putting new products into the system is great.
