re-originReviews of re-origin.com

This is one of the better brain-retraining programs out there. I did the re-origin program for 11 months and gained some helpful knowledge/experiences, but I'm going to let my membership expire. I like how the program is organized into bite-sized pieces. It has a lot of practical tools that have helped me be more present, restful, and accepting in the midst of ongoing, severe illness. And I appreciate that (hypothetically) it is not based on positive thinking or toxic positivity. However, I found that there were some subtle ways that "mind over matter" ideas kept being pushed, especially in the forum posts. I also observed some concerning advice being given by fellow members to those dealing with severe symptoms--advice which could potentially cause more harm than good. I'm concerned that the program does not adequately explain the differing ways this program could benefit people, depending on their symptoms, severity, stage of recovery, and other types of treatments/supports. I wish that participants were more regularly reminded of the importance of staying in contact with their medical professionals or mental health professionals, and making decisions in collaboration with them. I also would love to see more representation of people who are making slower progress. I saw a 1% decrease in symptoms over the past year, which I largely attribute to this program (as well as to a medication change); I am truly grateful for this. I think that re-origin is much better than similar programs, but for people with illnesses like severe LC or ME/CFS, I'd recommend approaching it with caution or exploring other nervous system regulation programs that are more specifically focused on supporting those with severe illnesses. I'm thankful for the skills, tools, and experiences I gained from my time in the Re-origin program. And I would love to see it continue to improve to be more inclusive of a wide range of experiences.

Re-Origin is a wonderful program of healing and community. My first introduction to the program was through Ben's videos which appeared on my youtube. Videos about the brain and the stress response and how to calm oneself, etc. So I checked out the program and decided to join. My particular situation was that it was mid-pandemic and I was having alot of anxiety and nightmares. Not every night, but regularly. I also had food sensitivity issues. I joined the program and started to do the work, including working with a coach [Natalie] who helped me map out strategies to deal with the anxiety, and she helped me write long forms and short forms to deal with specific issues. And then I started to do the work, everyday. It was not long before my nightmares ceased, and my anxiety and my food sensitivity issues got much better. It's a wonderful program, based on the science of how the brain works. And there is a community of others who have similar issues who are there for mutual support. I highly recommend it! It was life-changing for me and it can be for you too.

I am new to the Re-Origin program and really enjoying it thus far. Due to challenges from surgery and injuries I have experienced a lot of fear and anxiety which has put my brain in flight/fight mode. I have learned a lot about the connection of the mind/body through the videos of the program. It's fascinating how we have much power to retrain the brain and in turn calm the nervous system. The exercises are very simple and a lot of fun! I highly recommend Re-Origins program to anyone dealing with chronic health issues.

Re- Origin has been a delight to utilize. I'm healing from Lyme and had done another bigname brain retraining in the past. This one presents up-to-date information succinctly and in short enough segments that I am not overwhelmed. The Re-Origin team is very hands-on when it comes to answering questions on the free forum, holding hourlong Q & A sesions, and providing resources. The members are communicative and motivated, and its easy to get help as you go along.

Re-Origin is amazing, it teaches you about how your brain works and how you can help yourself to recover. I chose it after being completely debilitated from long covid for 2 years. I saw one of Ben Ahren's videos and was really impressed at how professional and clearly it was presented and that it is science based. If you fully engage with this program there is no doubt it works! I feel as though I have been given my life back, I have even started back to work after two and a half years! There is a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate, caring community to cheer you on through your healing journey. I highly recommend!!

Update 5-8-25: I was finally able to schedule and virtually attend the group info call. While I decided the program wasn't for me, Mr. Ahrens seemed both professional and down to earth. He addressed nearly every question anyone raised during the call. My only gripe at this point is that it can take over a month to get an appointment for the group info calls. Given that there is no free trial for the program, you may either have to take a leap of faith or wait a while to learn more. I would now recommend giving them a chance. After reading the info available on their website, I still had questions. They offer a "group info call" where you can ask your questions: sounds good. I tried to schedule, but they have no appointments available in the next 2.5 months. That's not the worst part. It won't let me view anything past those 2.5 months to schedule for whenever they do have appointments available. Though frustrating, I could understand their scheduling calendar software having technical difficulties. So, I tried emailing them about the issue, and filled in all required fields only to get two reCAPTCHA errors repeatedly. There's no box to check or puzzle to solve. (I could provide screenshots, but that's not an option on TrustPilot from what I can see). I see no other way to contact the company, so maybe this will get their attention (though not sure I want to do business at this point).

I highly highly recommend re-origin! I was skeptical because I've spent so much money on so many programs and things trying to help my OCD. There was nothing that really worked well. I am still in the first month of the re-origin program, but I am already seeing significant improvements! I look forward to the program each day. It's easy to follow, the community is amazing and they actually care. Unlike some of the other programs this isn't just so they can make money, it truly works and they truly care about your journey. The price point was great. If you are on the fence, I would say definitely join!

I am working with an FMP and she recommended this program to help me deal with my anxiety. I was skeptical at first but finally decided to try it and I am thankful that I did! The program is very well organized and structured in a way that allows you to go at your own pace. Ben and Katie do a great job of breaking things down into easy and simple tasks. Also, the moderators provide exceptional and insightful content that adds to the program. The most valuable and what has had an impact on my journey is the RO community. This support group is by far the best experience! I have been with the program for six months and I have seen some positive results in how I am able to manage my anxiety levels. The RO members shared their experiences and gave insights and advice that has truly helped me. I am currently going back through the program and focusing on all the videos and other resources. I am thankful that I found this amazing and supportive community!
